Chela Ruiz
Chela Ruiz (5 June 1921 - 1 December 1999) was an Argentine actress. Her career spanned radio, film, television and stage, and in 1997 the Argentine Association of Actors awarded her the prestigious Premio Podestá for her theatrical work. Career Ruiz made her professional debut on Radio Splendid, along with her sister Nora Cullen, working as an actress and reader. In the 1940s and 1950s she was known for her narration of radio plays by Nené Cascallar. She began appearing on stage in 1942. A film career followed later. In 1960 Ruiz starred in Fernando Ayala's ''Sábado a la noche, cine''. Other notable films include ''La Chacota'' (1962), ''La guita'' (1970), ''El soltero'' (1977), '' Mis días con Verónica'' (1980), and '' La conquista del Paraíso'' (1981). Aside from various roles in telenovelas, Ruiz was also an accomplished actress of the stage and in 1997 the Argentine Association of Actors awarded her the Premio Podestá. Alejandro Doria (November 1, 1936 – June 17, 2009) was a noted Argentine cinema and television director. Life and work Born in Buenos Aires in 1936, he first worked for Argentine television in 1965 as a writer for a local variety show, ''Show rambler''. He first directed professionally for ''Adorable Professor Aldao'', a 1968 romantic comedy series. Doria's contract to direct the 1969 season of a top-rated sitcom, ''Nuestra galleguita'' (''Our Galician Girl''), secured his career in Argentine /television, and he directed numerous series during the early 1970s and was a guest producer several times for ''Alta Comedia'', a comedy showcase. Ricardo Wullicher (born 21 May 1948) is a film director from Argentina. He is best known for his 1976 thriller ''La casa de las sombras (House of shadows)''. Wullicher was born in Buenos Aires. His 1972 movie ''Quebracho'' tells the story of "La Forestal," an English company extracting Quebracho trees between 1900 and 1963 in the northern province of Santa Fe.
