Edwin Cheel
Edwin Cheel (14 February 1872 – 19 September 1951) was an Australian botanist and collector. Before being appointed as a staff member of Centennial Park in 1897 he was a gardener in New South Wales and Queensland. Later he transferred to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney. In 1908 he joined the National Herbarium, and was appointed Chief Botanist and Curator from 1933 to 1936. He described plants in the Myrtle family such as '' Melaleuca howeana''. Jay Cheel (born ) is a Canadian documentary filmmaker, editor and podcaster. Career He is mainly known for directing the feature-length documentary '' Beauty Day'', and short film ''Cooking With Gerry – Episode #2: Poutine'' that premiered at the Flyway Film Festival. John Cheale
John Cheale (died 28 August 1685) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1679 to 1681. Cheale was of a West Sussex yeoman family from Perching in Edburton. In 1650 he purchased the manor of Findon, West Sussex from John Tufton Earl of Thanet. Cheale was elected Member of Parliament (MP) for New Shoreham in 1679 and held the seat until 1681. Peter Edward Cheal (1846 – 12 January 1931) was a prominent surveyor in the settlement of New Zealand during the mid and late 19th century. Biography London Peter Edward Cheal was born and educated in London, where he trained as a mining engineer and surveyor and joined the Middlesex Engineering Volunteers. New Zealand Auckland He emigrated to New Zealand in 1864 aboard the “Eagle Speed”, and in 1865 joined the Survey Department in Auckland, assisting the Transport Corps during the Waikato campaign. Cheal Point is a rocky headland east-south-east of Return Point, the south-western extremity of Coronation Island, in the South Orkney Islands of Antarctica.
