Chaussée d'Antin–La Fayette () is a station on Line 7 and Line 9 of the Paris Métro. The station was opened on 5 November 1910 with the opening of the first section of the line from Opéra to Porte de la Villette. The line 9 platforms opened on 3 June 1923 with the extension of the line from Saint-Augustin. History The station was originally named ''Chaussée d'Antin'' after the street of Chaussée d'Antin—which was named after himself by Louis Antoine de Pardaillan de Gondrin, first Duke of Antin (1665–1736) in 1712. In 1989 ''La Fayette'' was added referring to famous shopping street of ''Rue La Fayette'', named after Gilbert du Motier, marquis de Lafayette. The area was once a marsh to the north of the old Porte Gaillon (a gate in the extension of Paris's walls, built under Louis XIII). Louis XV (15 February 1710 – 10 May 1774), known as Louis the Beloved (french: le Bien-Aimé), was King of France from 1 September 1715 until his death in 1774. Pont de Sèvres () is a station of the Paris Métro on line 9, serving as its western terminus. It is located near the pont de Sèvres, which is a bridge on the Seine connecting to Sèvres. History The station opened on 3 February 1934 with the extension from Porte de Saint-Cloud station. It was the first extension of the métro network beyond the limits of Paris. Le Peletier () is a station on Line 7 of the Paris Métro. Located in the 9th arrondissement, it was opened in 1910. It is named in reference to Rue le Peletier, which was named after Louis Peletier, who was the last but one ''Prévôt des marchands de Paris'' ( provost of the merchants of Paris) between 1784 and 1789. This feudal position was abolished in the French Revolution. The Opéra National de Paris was located in the Salle Peletier, on Rue le Peletier, between 1821 and 1873, when it was destroyed by fire.
