Chastain Peak
The Thiel Mountains are an isolated, mainly snow-capped mountain range of the Transantarctic Mountains System, located in the Ellsworth Land region of Antarctica. The mountain range is long, and is located roughly between the Horlick Mountains and the Pensacola Mountains, and extends from Moulton Escarpment on the west to Nolan Pillar on the east. Major components include Ford Massif (2,810 m), Bermel Escarpment and a group of eastern peaks near Nolan Pillar. The mountains were observed and first positioned by the USARP Horlick Mountains Traverse Party, 1958–59. The mountains were surveyed by the USGS Thiel Mountains parties of 1960-61 and 1961–62. The Thiel Mountains were named by US-ACAN after Dr. Edward C. Thiel, traverse seismologist at Ellsworth Station and the Pensacola Mountains in 1957. In December 1959, he made airlifted geophysical observations along the 88th meridian west, including work near these mountains. Thiel perished with four others on November 9, 1 ...

Chastain (band)
Chastain is an American heavy metal music band, formed in 1984 by guitarist David T. Chastain and signed by Shrapnel Records. Career The band was put together in 1984 by Mike Varney, president of Shrapnel for a David T. Chastain solo album. Varney had noticed the shred guitar ability of Chastain, member of the Cincinnati-based band CJSS and, at the same time, he wanted to create an output for the talent of young singer Leather Leone, formerly with the San Francisco band Rude Girl. The first band lineup included Leone, Chastain, CJSS bassist Mike Skimmerhorn and drummer Fred Coury, who later played in Cinderella. In 1986, Chastain readily declared that "I could never work with these people on a full-time basis because they live all over the country (...). We just get together once a year, record an album and then go off and do our own things". In the case of Chastain, he wrote music for CJSS and his solo albums, as well as producing other artists and managing his own record ...

Chastain Motorsports
Chastain Motorsports is a team in the Indy Racing League owned by Indianapolis businessman Tom Chastain. The team was founded in 1997 and raced until 1998 with driver Stephan Gregoire. Gregoire finished 11th in driver points in '97 and 12th in '98 with a best race finish of 2nd at Pikes Peak International Raceway in 1997. At the end of the 1998 season the team ceased operations. Chastain returned to IndyCar after a 9-year absence for the 2007 Indianapolis 500, again with Gregoire driving. However, Gregoire was injured in a practice crash and Roberto Moreno was named as the replacement driver. Moreno qualified 31st with the fastest 4 lap average of any Panoz chassis but was the first to crash out and finished in 33rd and last place. The Linux community attempted to raise money to sponsor the car and gain awareness for the Linux product, however they fell short of their goals and only raised enough for minor associate sponsorship.
