Charlie Hauck
Charlie Hauck (October 26, 1941 – November 14, 2020) was an American comedy writer, producer and screenwriter. He is best known as producer of the classic Norman Lear-created sitcom ''Maude'' and as the creator of the American family sitcom television series ''The Hogan Family''. He is also one the co-creators of the short-lived sitcom television series '' The Associates'', which he created with James L. Brooks, Stan Daniels, Ed. Weinberger and Michael Leeson. Early life Hauck was born in Cleveland, Ohio. After graduating from John Carroll University, in 1963, for the academic year 1963-64, Hauck taught English literature at Holy Name High School in Cleveland, Ohio. ''Maude'' is an American sitcom television series that was originally broadcast on the CBS network from September 12, 1972, until April 22, 1978. ''Maude'' stars Bea Arthur as Maude Findlay, an outspoken, middle-aged, politically liberal woman living in suburban Tuckahoe, New York with her fourth husband, household appliance store owner Walter Findlay (Bill Macy). Mary Claire "Mimi" Kennedy (born September 25, 1948) is an American actress, author, and activist. Peter Cook
Peter Edward Cook (17 November 1937 – 9 January 1995) was an English actor, comedian, satirist, playwright and screenwriter. He was the leading figure of the British satire boom of the 1960s, and he was associated with the anti-establishment comedic movement that emerged in the United Kingdom in the late 1950s. Born in Torquay, he was educated at the University of Cambridge. There he became involved with the Footlights Club, of which he later became president. A sitcom, a portmanteau of situation comedy, or situational comedy, is a genre of comedy centered on a fixed set of characters who mostly carry over from episode to episode. Sitcoms can be contrasted with sketch comedy, where a troupe may use new characters in each sketch, and stand-up comedy, where a comedian tells jokes and stories to an audience. Sitcoms originated in radio, but today are found mostly on television as one of its dominant narrative forms. A situation comedy television program may be recorded in front of a studio audience, depending on the program's production format. The effect of a live studio audience can be imitated or enhanced by the use of a laugh track.
