Charlie Crow
Charlie Crow (born: Richmond Gulf, Quebec) is a former disc jockey and Member of the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly from 1987 to 1991. Early life Crow became the first disc jockey for community radio station CKSN-FM when it opened in 1971. He worked on the radio for four years. Politics Crow first ran for a seat in the Northwest Territories Legislature in the 1975 Northwest Territories general election. He was defeated by Peter Irniq who won the Keewatin Region electoral district in a three-way race. After his defeat he became involved in local politics for a number of years. Crow ran for a seat in the Northwest Territories Legislature for the second time in the 1987 Northwest Territories general election. Richmond Gulf
Lake Tasiujaq (french: lac Tasiujaq; iu, Tasiujaq, script=Latn (which resembles a lake)) is a large triangular-shaped inland bay located on east side of Hudson Bay just above 56th parallel north in Quebec, Canada. It was formerly known as Richmond Gulf in English and Lac Guillaume-Delisle in French. In 2008, regional councillors asked the Commission de toponymie du Québec to rename Richmond Gulf as Lac Tasiujaq. The name was officially adopted on 26 February 2016. Hudson Bay (Northwest Territories Electoral District)
Hudson Bay was a former territorial electoral district, that elected Members to the Northwest Territories Legislature from 1979 until 1991. It was Abolished in 1987 when it became part of the Baffin South electoral district. The riding covered the entire Hudson Bay and the main community in the riding was Sanikiluaq in the Belcher Islands. Moses Appaqaq Jr. (born April 2, 1946) is a soapstone carver, former retail clerk, and former territorial-level politician from Sanikiluaq, Northwest Territories (now Nunavut). Appaqaq ran for a seat in the 1979 Northwest Territories general election, he won the Hudson Bay electoral district and his first term in office. Appaqaq ran for a second term in the 1983 Northwest Territories general election. In that election he defeated six other candidates. Appaqaq was defeated running for a third term in office by Charlie Crow in the 1987 Northwest Territories general election. After politics he became a director on the board of Qikittaluk Corporation.
