Charlie Christina Martin
Charlie Christina Martin (born 24 August 1981) is a British racing car driver and transgender rights activist, who competes in endurance racing. In 2021, she participated in the Britcar Championship. She was born in Leicester, United Kingdom. Career European Hillclimb Martin graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2004. Martin began her career in 2006 in the Hillclimb Leaders Championship, part of the British Hill Climb Championship racing a Peugot 205 before moving on to race in the European Hill Climb Championship in 2014, driving a Formula Renault and a Norma Auto Concept M20FC prototype. Martin has competed in the Trophee Tourisme Endurance in November 2017 alongside French racer Nicolas Schatz, claiming third place on her debut endurance outing at Bugatti Circuit. Race of Remembrance is the brain child of Jon Earp, Mission Motorsport volunteer and a Wales, Welsh Air Ambulance Aviator, pilot. The race raised money for the Mission Motorsport charity, affiliated with Help for Heroes. Mission Motorsport are appointed by the British Army Motorsport Association, and operating in direct support of the Defence Recovery Capability, Mission Motorsport provides respite, rehabilitation, vocational support and training to those affected by military operations within the framework of Motorsport. Mission Motorsport concentrate on getting injured service personnel back into civilian life after injuries sustained on active duty. The Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS, German: ''Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie'') is an organisation of motorsport clubs of which each hosts one event of a nine-race series held on the Nürburgring, Nürburgring Nordschleife. Participants of NLS races range from amateurs in small road legal cars with rollcages and harnesses to professional factory teams racing Group GT3 cars.
