Charley Thomas
Charley M. Thomas (born April 4, 1986 in Victoria, British Columbia) is a Canadian curler from Calgary who currently skips his own rink on the World Curling Tour. Curling career Thomas started his career with an Alberta Provincial Junior title in 2004 and made his debut on the national and international curling scene representing Alberta and winning the 2006 Canadian Junior Curling Championships (Thunder Bay, Ontario) and 2006 World Junior Curling Championships (Jeonju, Korea). Thomas and team also qualified for the 2007 Canadian Junior Curling Championships by winning the 2007 Alberta Junior Provincials at the Granite Curling Club in Edmonton, Alberta. He went on to win his second straight Canadian Junior title over Brett Gallant's rink from Prince Edward Island, as well as a consecutive World Junior title by defeating Niklas Edin of Sweden. Grand Slam Of Curling
The Grand Slam of Curling (branded as the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling for sponsorship reasons) is a series of curling bonspiels that are a part of the annual World Curling Tour. Grand Slam events offer a purse of at least CAD$100,000, and feature the best teams from across Canada and around the World. The Grand Slam was instituted during the 2001–02 season for men and 2006–07 for women (with the 2006 Players' Championship also considered a Slam), but some of the Grand Slam events have longer histories as bonspiels. Kalynn Park (born September 12, 1988) is a Canadian curler and curling coach. She is right-handed. She and Charley Thomas won the 2015 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Trials and represented Canada at the 2015 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. Chris Schille
Christopher Schille (born February 19, 1983 in Barrhead, Alberta) is a Canadian curler from Red Deer, Alberta. Curling career Schille grew up in Alberta, where he had a successful junior career, skipping the Alberta team to a 7-5 record at the 2004 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. Following Juniors, he played third for Rob Armitage during the 2004-05 season. The following season, he formed his own team before heading east to play second for 2006 Olympic champion Brad Gushue out of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. In 2008 he was replaced by Ryan Fry and Schille returned to Alberta to form his own team. Schille's move to Newfoundland to play for the Gushue rink followed the departure of Russ Howard. The team made it to the 2007 Tim Hortons Brier where they lost to Ontario (skipped by Russ' brother, Glenn) in the final. Johan Niklas Edin (born 6 July 1985) is a Swedish curler. He currently resides in Karlstad, which has been his curling home base since 2008. He holds several sport distinctions. He is the first and the only skip in World Curling Federation (WCF) history to win three Olympic medals – gold (2022), silver (2018), and bronze (2014) – and to skip men's curling teams to six World Men's Curling Championship medals (2013, 2015, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022). Brett Philip Gallant (born February 18, 1990 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island) is a Canadian curler from Calgary. He currently plays second for the Brendan Bottcher rink. Career Juniors Gallant has represented Prince Edward Island in the Canadian Junior Curling Championships numerous times, winning the 2009 Canadian Junior Curling Championships on his fourth attempt. Gallant won five straight provincial titles in P.E.I. from 2006 to 2010. He holds the record for most all-time wins at the Canadian Juniors (48), which he set after his second win at the 2010 Canadian Junior Curling Championships.
