Charles E. Sydnor III
Charles E. Sydnor III (born March 18, 1974) is an American politician who represents district 44 in the Maryland Senate and who previously represented district 44B in the Maryland House of Delegates. Background Sydnor grew up in the West Hills section of Baltimore City and graduated from the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute high school in 1992. In 1996, after four years of college, he earned a bachelor's degree in history from Johns Hopkins University. He simultaneously earned a master's degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in policy science and a Juris Doctor from University of Maryland School of Law, both being awarded in 2000. Sydnor served as a law clerk for the Honorable William D. Quarles in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. Maryland House of Delegates District 44 is one of 47 legislative districts in the state of Maryland and is one of the 5 located entirely within Baltimore City and part of Baltimore County. Voters in this district selected three Delegates every four years to represent them in the Maryland House of Delegates. West Hills is a neighborhood in the Southwest District of Baltimore, located between the neighborhoods of Westgate (south), Franklintown (north) and Hunting Ridge (east). Its boundaries are drawn by the Baltimore County line (west), Baltimore National Pike (south) and North Franklintown Road (north). Its eastern boundary follows Cooks Lane from Baltimore National Pike, then Briarclift Road and finally Wynans Way to the intersection with N. Franklintown Road. Lawrence Joseph Hogan Jr. (born May 25, 1956) is an American politician and businessman serving as the 62nd governor of Maryland since 2015. A moderate member of the Republican Party, he was secretary of appointments under Maryland governor Bob Ehrlich from 2003 to 2007. Hogan chaired the National Governors Association from 2019 to 2020. Joseph James DeAngelo Jr. (born November 8, 1945) is an American serial killer, sex offender, burglar, and former police officer who committed at least 13 murders, 51 rapes, and 120 burglaries across California between 1974 and 1986.
