Cassius Chaney (born June 7, 1987) is an American professional boxer who has held the World Boxing Council, WBC-USNBC WBC Silver, Silver heavyweight title since 2019. Education Chaney attended Old Saybrook Senior High School where he was a star basketball player. Chaney was twice named all-state, leading the team to a state championship in 2005. He then went on to play basketball at University of New Haven. Professional career Chaney made his professional debut on April 17, 2015, scoring a second-round technical knockout (TKO) over Perry Filkins at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut. William Chaney
William Albert Chaney (December 23, 1922 – March 13, 2013) was an American historian of Anglo-Saxon England. Chaney spent his career at Lawrence University, where he taught from 1952 until his death; he held the George McKendree Steele endowed chair in history from 1962 until his official retirement in 1999, and was chair of the history department from 1968 to 1971. Chaney's studies focused on the conversion from paganism to Christianity and sacral kingship. His work culminated in his 1970 book, ''The Cult of Kingship in Anglo-Saxon England: The Transition from Paganism to Christianity''. Chaney was born in California and, at age 16, graduated from high school as valedictorian of his class. He completed both his Bachelor of Arts and Ph.D. at the University of California, Berkeley. Ralph Works Chaney (August 24, 1890 – March 3, 1971) was an American paleobotanist. Early life Chaney was born on August 24, 1890 in Brainerd, Illinois. He attended Hyde Park Academy High School, and began to cultivate his interest in ornithology. He became an avid bird watcher and collected a series of bird eggs and skins. After his graduation, Chaney briefly moved to South Dakota before enrolling at the University of Chicago in the fall of 1908. It was here where his interests shifted from ornithology to botany, and eventually paleobotany. He earned his B.S. degree in geology from the University of Chicago in 1912.
