Champion High School is a public high school in Champion Township, Ohio, United States, near Warren. It is the only high school in the Champion Local School District. Sports teams are called the Flashes, and they compete in the Ohio High School Athletic Association as a member of the All-American Conference. Warren is a city in and the county seat of Trumbull County, Ohio, United States. Located in northeastern Ohio, Warren lies approximately northwest of Youngstown and southeast of Cleveland. The population was 39,201 at the 2020 census. The historical county seat of the Connecticut Western Reserve, it is the second largest city in the Youngstown–Warren metropolitan area, and anchors the northern part of that area. All-American Conference
The All-American Conference is an Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA)-sanctioned league created in 2008 from the merger of the Trumbull Athletic Conference and Metro Athletic Conference (formerly the Mahoning Valley Conference). 17 sports are offered throughout fall, winter and spring sports seasons. The conference has teams divided into four (4) tiers, depending on sport and includes Gold, Red, White and Blue divisions. Between the merger, the only schools that declined to participate in the merger were the MAC's East Liverpool High School and the TAC's Brookfield High School (Brookfield, Ohio), Brookfield High School, with Beaver Local High School joining. The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) is the governing body of athletic programs for junior and senior high schools in the state of Ohio. The OHSAA governs eligibility of student athletes, resolves disputes, organizes levels of competition by divisional separation of schools according to attendance population, and conducts state championship competitions in all the OHSAA-sanctioned sports. Softball is a game similar to baseball played with a larger ball on a smaller field. Softball is played competitively at club levels, the college level, and the professional level.
