Takla Chamoun
Takla Chamoun Farjallah (; born 12 September 1966) is a Lebanese actress, drama instructor, producer, and the co-founder and CEO of the Lebanese Film Academy. Chamoun is highly regarded in the Middle East and the Arab World for her acting and her ability to mold into a character. Early life and education Takla Chamoun was born and raised in the mountainous village of Jouar El Haouz, Jouar el-Haouz to the east of Beirut. Camille Chamoun
Camille Nimr Chamoun OM, ONC ( ar, كميل نمر شمعون, ''Kamīl Sham'ūn''; 3 April 1900 – 7 August 1987) was a Lebanese politician who served as President of Lebanon from 1952 to 1958. He was one of the country's main Christian leaders during most of the Lebanese Civil War (1975–1990). Early years and education Camille Nimr Chamoun was born at Deir al-Qamar on 3 April 1900 into a prominent Maronite family. He received a law degree from Saint Joseph University. Dany Chamoun ( ar, داني شمعون; 26 August 1934 – 21 October 1990) was a prominent Lebanese politician. A Maronite Christian, the younger son of former President Camille Chamoun and brother of Dory Chamoun, Chamoun was also a politician in his own right. On October 21, 1990, he and his family were murdered by the Lebanese Forces that led by the head of its political party, Samir Geagea. Dory Chamoun ( ar, دوري شمعون) (born 1931) is a Lebanese politician who led the National Liberal Party (NLP) from 25 May 1991 till 10 April 2021 when he was succeeded by his son Camille Dory Chamoun who became a MP in the 2022 Lebanese general election. He is also a prominent member of the Qornet Shehwan Gathering, a coalition of politicians, academics, and businessmen who oppose the pro- Syrian March 8 Alliance and Syrian influence in Lebanon. Tracy Chamoun ( ar, ترايسي شمعون) (born on 22 October 1960) is a Lebanese author, diplomat and political activist of Lebanese and Australian descent. She was the Lebanese ambassador to Jordan from August 2017 until 7 August 2020 when she resigned after the 2020 Beirut explosions, saying the catastrophe showed the need for a change in leadership. Jackie Chamoun
Jackie Chamoun (born 21 October 1991) is a Lebanese alpine skier. As the age of 14, she started participating in professional skiing events (slalom and giant slalom) all around the world. She participated in FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in 2009 as well as in 2013. She has skied for Lebanon at the Winter Olympics in 2010 and 2014. Education Jackie studied Sports Management at the Glion Institute of Higher Education, Switzerland and hopes to improve sports in Lebanon by encouraging children to participate in athletics, and putting in place better practice facilities. Chaouki Chamoun (born January 19, 1942) is a Lebanese contemporary artist. Biography Chaouki Chamoun was born in Sarine, in the Bekaa Valley. As a school boy he worked as an art instructor to pay for the education of himself and his younger brothers, while at the same time attending art and design night schools, before finally joining the Fine Art Institute at the Lebanese University in Beirut in fall 1968, at the age of 26. He received his Diploma of Higher Studies in Painting in 1972, and received a five-year scholarship on to study art in the United States the same year. Sami Chamoun (born 29 April 1975) is an Australian former rugby league footballer who represented Lebanon at the 2000 Rugby League World Cup. Background Chamoun was born in Sydney, Australia. Playing career Chamoun played for the Illawarra Steelers in the inaugural 1998 season of the National Rugby League competition. He played in five matches, starting four at prop.
