František Filip
František Filip (26 December 1930 – 9 January 2021) was a Czech film and television director. Biography During his studies at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in the 1950s, he filmed his first documentary film. After graduation, he joined Czechoslovak Television in 1954, where he remained until his retirement. However; even after retirement he still continued to work in television. During the span of his career, he directed about 600 film and television programs of various genres for viewers of all ages. In 2017, he was awarded the Thalia Award. Death Filip died from COVID-19 in Prague on 9 January 2021, at the age of 90, during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Czech Republic. Jiří Sovák
Jiří Sovák (''né'' Schmitzer; 27 December 1920 – 6 September 2000) was a Czech actor, best known for his comedy roles. Life and theatre career Jiří Sovák was born Jiří Schmitzer to the family of an innkeeper in Prague.Jiří Sovák, Slávka Kopecká: Sovák podruhé, He later changed his name to Sovák as a protest against Nazi Germany and its occupation of Czechoslovakia. In 1941 – during the WW2 – he graduated from Prague State Conservatory where he had been studying drama. Jiřina Bohdalová (born 3 May 1931 in Prague, Czechoslovakia, now the Czech Republic) is a Czech actress. Career She began acting in theatre and film at an early age. She was accepted to The Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU) at her third attempt. She received an offer from Jan Werich to join the actor's troupe at Divadlo ABC theatre which she accepted. Later on, she performed in many other “City Theatres of Prague” (Městská divadla pražská).
