Chad Weininger
Chad Weininger (born February 7, 1972) is an American business owner and politician who served as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly from the 4th district. Early life and education Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Weininger was a Green Bay Area Soap Box Derby Champion in 1983 (Junior Division) and 1984 (Senior Division). Cablevision produced a documentary, ''Follow Me to Akron,'' about young Weininger's national Soap Box Derby competition and winning the R.G. Canning outstanding Youth Award in 1984. He would finish racing in National Derby Rallies and serve as a co-pilot for disabled racers. Weininger attended Green Bay Public Elementary Schools and then graduate from Ashwaubenon High School. He earned a BBA from St. Norbert College in business administration with a double major in political science and a M.B.A. from Cardinal Stritch University. Wisconsin Assembly, District 4
The 4th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in northeast Wisconsin, the district comprises part of central Brown County, including the villages of Ashwaubenon and Allouez, and parts of the city of Green Bay and the village of Howard. The district also contains Lambeau Field (home of the Green Bay Packers) and historic Allouez Catholic Cemetery and Woodlawn Cemetery. The district is represented by Republican David Steffen, since January 2015. The ''Green Bay Press-Gazette'' is a newspaper whose primary coverage is of northeastern Wisconsin, including Green Bay. It was founded as the ''Green Bay Gazette'' in 1866 as a weekly paper, becoming a daily newspaper in 1871. The ''Green Bay Gazette'' merged with its major competitor, the ''Green Bay Free Press'' in 1915, assuming its current title. The newspaper was purchased by Gannett in March 1980. Brown County is a county in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 268,740, making it the fourth-most populous county in Wisconsin. The county seat is Green Bay, making it one of three Wisconsin counties on Lake Michigan not to have a county seat with the same name.
