Modigliani Art Center (''Centro d'Arte Modigliani'') is an art center founded in 1979 based in Scandicci, a suburb of Florence, Italy in Tuscany. The cultural center develops visual arts and literature via shows and conferences about renowned artists, poets and writers. Scandicci () is a ''comune'' (municipality) of c. 50,000 inhabitants in the Metropolitan City of Florence in the Italian region Tuscany, located about southwest of Florence. Scandicci borders the following municipalities: Campi Bisenzio, Florence, Impruneta, Lastra a Signa, Montespertoli, San Casciano in Val di Pesa, Signa. Duccia Camiciotti
Duccia Camiciotti (19 March 1928 – 7 July 2014) was an Italian poet, writer and essayist. Studies and early life Camiciotti's studies were founded in the Classics. She attended Silvio d’Amico Academy of Dramatic Arts (Silvio d’Amico Accademia d’Arte Drammatica) under the guidance of director Orazio Costa. She graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of Urbino, where she attended the school of literary and aesthetic criticism of humanist Carlo Bo. She became a teacher of Aesthetics at the Sharoff-Staniwslawskji Theater Academy in Rome, Italy. Camiciotti met her husband, Claudio Battistich, in Florence, Italy, where she was his assistant as Director of the Center for Oriental Studies. Simon Rackham
Simon Rackham (born 1964) is an English composer and artist. He is probably best known for his work;‘Which ever way your nose bends’ the first commission by the six piano ensemble Piano Circus, composed as a companion piece to Steve Reich’s ‘Six Pianos’ & released on their eponymous album by Argo Records (UK) in 1992.
