Central Stadium, Nakhon Ratchasima
The Nakhon Ratchasima Municipal Stadium ( th, สนามกีฬากลางเทศบาลนครนครราชสีมา) is a multi-use sports stadium in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. It is the former home of Nakhon Ratchasima F.C. who left the municipal stadium for the 80th Birthday Stadium in June 2008. The stadium is built in the typical Thai style. There are two side stands and no supporter accommodation at each end. The main stand is single tier with a concrete cantilever roof and extends for about thirty metres each side of the half way line. This stand contains offices and dressing rooms. The stand has red bench seats which were added for the 2007 SEA Games as the stadium hosted some football matches (mainly women's and some men's group games). Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima District
Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima ( th, เมืองนครราชสีมา, ) is one of 32 districts of Nakhon Ratchasima province, northeastern Thailand. Overview Nakhon Ratchasima was built in the reign of King Narai the Great of Ayutthaya kingdom. The king merged two cities, ''Mueang'' Sema and ''Mueang'' Khorakha Pura (Khorat), and moved to the present area. He named the new city "Nakhon Ratchasima". "Khorat", as it is commonly known, is on the Khorat plateau, the lower part of northeastern plateau of Thailand. The city itself serves as the gateway to the northeastern region. 80th Birthday Stadium
The 80th Birthday Stadium is a sports facility in Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat), Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Thailand. It is the main stadium in His Majesty the King's 80th Birthday Anniversary, 5 December 2007, Sports Complex. It is home to Nakhon Ratchasima FC, a professional team, and it was used for the 2007 Southeast Asian Games which coincided with the 80th birthday of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, hence the name of the venue. History The stadium is in the former SEA Games sports complex on Highway 304 (Pak Thong Chai Road) southwest of the city of Nakhon Ratchasima. The stadium is all-seated with space for 24,641 spectators. The tribunes form a continuous ring, almost a perfect circle, around the pitch and running track. The 2007 Southeast Asian Games ( th, กีฬาแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ 2007, Kila haeng echiye tawan oak chiyeng tai 2007), officially known as the 24th Southeast Asian Games, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event held in Nakhon Ratchasima province, Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat), Thailand. This was the sixth time Thailand hosted the Southeast Asian Games and its first time since 1995 Southeast Asian Games, 1995. Sisaket Football Club ( th, สโมสรฟุตบอลจังหวัดศรีสะเกษ) is a former Thai professional football club History The early years The club was founded as Sisaket F.C. in 2009 and won the Thai Provincial League. The team was founded by the Sports Authority of Thailand in collaboration with the Football Association of Thailand. In 2008 they were promoted from the Regional League Division 2 to take them back to the Thai First Division.
