"Central Reservation" is a song by Beth Orton, released as a single in 1999. It was released as the second single from the album of the same title, using the "Then Again version" of the song instead of the original acoustic version. It peaked at #37 in the UK Singles Chart. A video to promote the single was filmed in New York City, produced by Sophie Muller. Beth Orton
Elizabeth Caroline Orton (born 14 December 1970) is an English musician, known for her "folktronica" sound, which mixes elements of folk and electronica. She was initially recognised for her collaborations with William Orbit, Andrew Weatherall, Red Snapper and the Chemical Brothers in the mid-1990s. Her UK/US first solo album, ''Trailer Park'', received much critical acclaim in 1996. Orton developed a devoted audience with the release of the BRIT Award-winning album ''Central Reservation'' (1999) and the 2002 UK top 10 album, '' Daybreaker''. Her 2006 album, ''Comfort of Strangers'', was followed by a break during which Orton gave birth to her daughter and collaborated with the British guitarist Bert Jansch. Orton returned with ''Sugaring Season'' in 2012, which moved towards a purer acoustic sound, followed by a return to electronic music with ''Kidsticks'', released in 2016. Spiritual Life Music is a music and art company and a record label that focuses on underground dance music. It emerged from the New York City dance record store ''Dancetracks'' owned by Joaquin Claussell and Stefan Prescott. With locals from the black diaspora such as Haiti (Jephté Guillaume), Puerto Rico (Joe Claussell and brother José Claussell), the Caribbean and Africa (Ola Jagun, Femi Kuti). Deep Dish is an American electronic music duo, consisting of Ali "Dubfire" Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi. Biography Based in Washington, D.C., it is well known for providing house or dance remixes of tracks of famous artists such as Madonna, Janet Jackson, Cher, Stevie Nicks and Gabrielle, and for its live DJ sets. Its collaborations and remixing abilities first came to attention with its seminal 1995 remix of De'Lacy's " Hideaway". Deep Dish's album ''Junk Science'' was released in 1998. Sophie Luise Elisabeth Muller (born 31 January 1962) is a British music video director who has directed more than 300 music videos. She won a Grammy Award for Annie Lennox's 1992 ''Diva'' video album, and an MTV Video Music Award for Lennox's song "Why" from the same album. In 1993, she won a BRIT Award for "Stay" by Shakespears Sister. In 1997, she won another MTV Award for "Don't Speak" by No Doubt.
