Cell 7
Cell 7 (stylized as cell 7 '') is an electronic industrial band formed in Perth, Western Australia. Starting in the early 1990s, Cell 7 was initially influenced by IDM artists such as Autechre and Aphex Twin as well as the more mainstream sounds of Depeche Mode, the Cure and Nine Inch Nails. Perth is the capital and largest city of the Australian state of Western Australia. Synth-pop (short for synthesizer pop; also called techno-pop; ) is a subgenre of new wave music that first became prominent in the late 1970s and features the synthesizer as the dominant musical instrument. The WAMi Awards are Western Australia Music's night of nights, bringing together local music fans and members of local, national and international industry to acknowledge and celebrate another year of achievements for Western Australia. History WAM was originally formed as the Western Australian Rock Music Industry Association Inc. "Losing My Religion" is a song by American alternative rock band R.E.M., released in February 1991 as the first single from the group's seventh album, '' Out of Time'' (1991). Built on a mandolin riff, the song was an unlikely hit for the group, garnering extensive airplay on radio as well as on MTV and VH1 due to its critically acclaimed music video. The single became R.E.M.'s highest-charting hit in the United States, reaching No. 4 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and expanding the group's popularity beyond its original fanbase. FiXT (pronounced "fixed") is an American independent media company with several divisions including a record label, an online music store, and a film/TV/video game music licensing arm. FiXT was founded and is owned by Klayton, the sole member of the electronic rock project Celldweller. History FiXT started in 2006 as an outgrowth of Esion Media, the name under which Klayton published his earliest Celldweller material. After years of trouble with distributors over how to properly handle Celldweller's unique brand of music, Klayton decided to take the same approach to record labels as he did with his music and handle the matter himself. RTRFM (call sign: 6RTR) is a Nonprofit organization, not-for-profit, community radio station based in Perth, the state capital of Western Australia. It is self-funded, largely through listener subscription and fund-raising events. However, it does carry some "advertising material" (called sponsorship with all community broadcasters in Australia) at a maximum of 5 mins per hour. It broadcasts 24 hours a day, on 92.1 in the frequency modulation, FM band. The name RTRFM is a contraction of "aRTy Radio".
