Cedric Simmons
Cedric Simmons (born January 3, 1986) is an American-born Bulgarian professional basketball player for SeaHorses Mikawa in Japan. He was born in the United States, but also holds Bulgarian citizenship, and has played for the senior men's Bulgarian national basketball team. A power forward-center, Simmons was selected by the New Orleans Hornets, in the first round (15th overall pick) of the 2006 NBA draft. College career Simmons played college basketball at North Carolina State University with the NC State Wolfpack. As a sophomore, he averaged 11.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 2.5 blocks per game. Professional career Simmons was selected with the 15th pick in the 2006 NBA draft by the New Orleans Hornets. On July 5, 2006, he signed with the Hornets. The power forward (PF), also known as the four or strong forward, is a position in basketball. Power forwards play a role similar to centers. When on offense, they typically play with their backs towards the basket. When on defense, they typically position themselves under the basket in a zone defense or against the opposing power forward in man-to-man defense. The 2009–10 CBA season was the 15th CBA season. Guangdong Southern Tigers won their third consecutive CBA title for the second time, defeating Xinjiang Flying Tigers in the Finals, four games to one. Yunnan Bulls were suspended for the season due to salary reasons, and would conditionally retain their eligibility for the 2010–11 season. The Chinese Basketball Association (), often abbreviated as the CBA, is the first-tier professional men's basketball league in China. The league is commonly known by fans as the CBA, and this acronym is even used in Chinese on a regular basis. HEBA Greek All Star Game
The HEBA Greek All-Star Game, also known as the EKO Greek All-Star Game for sponsorship reasons, is the All-Star Game of the HEBA (Greek: ΕΣΑΚΕ) Greek professional basketball association for men. The Latvian-Estonian Basketball League is the highest professional men's club basketball league in Latvia and Estonia; it has been organised since 2018, run by the Latvian Basketball Association and the Estonian Basketball Association. History The league was established in 2018 when the Latvijas Basketbola līga (LBL) and Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML) merged. In its inaugural season, 15 teams participated in the league. The Korvpalli Meistriliiga ( en, Basketball Champions League), known as the OlyBet Korvpalli Meistriliiga for sponsorship reasons, is the highest tier level and most important professional basketball league in Estonia. It is controlled by the Estonian Basketball Association. The first Estonian Basketball Championship tournament was held in 1925. During Soviet era (1941–1991) the league was called the Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic Championship.
