Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Statistical Area
The Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Statistical Area, as defined by the United States Census Bureau, is an area consisting of three counties in Iowa, anchored by the city of Cedar Rapids. As of the 2010 census, the MSA had a population of 257,940, and a 2013 population estimate of 262,421. The Cedar Rapids MSA is part of a Combined Statistical Area (CSA) with the Iowa City MSA. The area is marketed regionally as Iowa City-Cedar Rapids (ICR), or the "Corridor" (referring to the Interstate 380 corridor) which includes both the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City metropolitan areas and several surrounding counties. Alburnett was established in 1887, with the building of the Illinois Central Railroad through the area. Walford, Iowa
Walford is a city in Benton and Linn counties in the U.S. state of Iowa. The population was 1,366 at the time of the 2020 census. It is part of the Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Walford was originally called Terry, and under the latter name was laid out in the year 1884 when the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad was extended to that point.
