Cathedral Hill is a neighborhood in the city of Lusaka, the capital of Zambia. Location The neighborhood is bordered by Independence Avenue to the south and Cairo Road (T2) to the west. Church Road, Addis Ababa Road and Los Angeles Boulevard form the northern boundary of the neighborhood. The eastern boundary in marked by Leopards Hill Road and Chindo Road. Provinces Of Zambia
Zambia is divided into 10 provinces for administrative purposes. Each province is headed by a minister appointed by the President and there are ministries of central government for each province. The administrative head of each province is the Permanent Secretary, appointed by the President. There are Deputy Permanent Secretary, heads of government departments and civil servants at the provincial level. Provinces are further divided into districts and almost all the district headquarters are the same as the district names. Cairo Road
Cairo Road is the main thoroughfare of Lusaka, Zambia and the principal business, retail and service centre of the city. It is a section of the T2 road and was so named because it is a link in Cecil Rhodes' then dream of a Cape to Cairo Road through British colonies in Africa. Cairo Road is 1.8 km long, running north–south between the Great East Road junction (also known as the "Kabwe Roundabout") and the Independence Avenue junction (also known as the "Kafue Roundabout"), and is a wide dual carriageway with an avenue of trees down the centre. It runs parallel to the main railway line which is one block to the east. As the main north–south road it became very congested. Matero is a township in the north-western part of the city of Lusaka in Zambia. Location The neighborhood is bordered to the northeast by the T2 road ( Great North Road), that stretches between Kabwe to the north, through Lusaka to Kafue to the south. To the southeast, the border is Lumumba Road. Umuzilikazi Road marks the neighborhood's southern border.
