Cathal Corey
Cathal Corey () is a Gaelic football manager and former player from County Tyrone. He played for the Kildress Wolfe Tones club, though he never played for his county. However, he has managed several clubs throughout Ulster, as well as the Sligo county team. His most noted achievement in club management is leading Naomh Conaill to both the Donegal Senior Football Championship and the final of the Ulster Senior Club Football Championship in 2010. Management career Corey managed Kildress Wolfe Tones in his native county, as well as Castledawson, Banagher and Slaughtneil in Derry, leading Slaughtneil to a league title. He then led Naomh Conaill to the 2010 Donegal Senior Football Championship (after also leading them as far as the final the previous year) and then led Naomh Conaill to a first Ulster Senior Club Football Championship final. Gaelic Football
Gaelic football ( ga, Peil Ghaelach; short name '), commonly known as simply Gaelic, GAA or Football is an Irish team sport. It is played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch. The objective of the sport is to score by kicking or punching the ball into the other team's goals (3 points) or between two upright posts above the goals and over a crossbar above the ground (1 point). Players advance the football up the field with a combination of carrying, bouncing, kicking, hand-passing, and soloing (dropping the ball and then toe-kicking the ball upward into the hands). In the game, two types of scores are possible: points and goals. A point is awarded for kicking or hand-passing the ball over the crossbar , signalled by the umpire raising a white flag. Jim McGuinness
Jim McGuinness (born 16 November 1972) is an association football coach and former Gaelic footballer, coach and Manager (Gaelic games), manager, who won the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship as both player and manager with the Donegal county football team, Donegal county team. Having guided Donegal to the final of the 2010 All-Ireland Under 21 Football Championship, McGuinness was appointed senior manager later that year. In his time at the helm, he oversaw a Donegal team that won three Ulster Senior Football Championship titles in four seasons and led them to the 2012 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. Paul Taylor (Gaelic Footballer)
Paul Taylor is a Gaelic football manager and former player. He played as a forward for the Sligo county team between 1993 and 2007. His point of origin is at Eastern Harps, with whom he won six Sligo Senior Football Championships. He was appointed manager of Sligo in 2018, having earlier worked as a selector under the management of Kevin Walsh. Taylor oversaw a winless 2019 season for Sligo, an early All-Ireland Senior Football Championship exit following swiftly on from an early Connacht Senior Football Championship exit. Niall Carew
Niall Carew (born 1974) is an Irish Gaelic football manager and former Gaelic footballer and hurler. He has been manager of the Carlow county team since 2020. Carew previously managed Waterford and Sligo. Career Born in Staplestown, County Kildare, Carew played Gaelic football for the St Kevin's club and hurling for Coill Dubh. In retirement from playing Carew became involved in team management and coaching. At inter-county level he served as a selector with the senior Kildare county team, before later managing the Waterford and Sligo senior teams. Declan Bonner
Declan Bonner (born 11 August 1965) is an Irish Gaelic footballer and manager. He played at senior level for the Donegal county team, winning an All-Ireland Senior Football Championship in 1992. He later managed the Donegal county team for two spells between 1997 and 2000 and 2017 and 2022, winning two Ulster Senior Football Championships during the latter, while playing as goalkeeper for Na Rossa. Bonner's first spell as manager of the county team, from 1997 until 2000, saw him denied an Ulster Senior Football Championship by a last-minute Joe Brolly goal in the 1998 final.
