Caterina Palazzi is an Italian double bass player. She's known as the leader of the Italian band Sudoku Killer, which plays jazz, psychedelic rock, and noise music. In 2010 she won the Jazzit Award as best italian jazz composer. In 2022 she is mentioned as one of 20 best ever italian bassists on Rockit magazine. Biography Caterina Palazzi was born in Rome. She was the guitarist for the punk rock group the Barbie Killers. Beginning in 2000, she moved closer to jazz while attending the DAMS University (Arts, Music, and Show). From 2002 she attended the professional course at Saint Louis College of Music of Rome. Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with its roots in blues and ragtime. Stefano Bollani (born 5 December 1972) is an Italian composer, pianist and singer, also active as a writer and a television presenter. Gianluca Petrella
Gianluca Petrella is an Italian jazz trombonist. In 2001 he won Italy's Django d'Or Award as well as Musica Jazz's annual critics poll as Best Young Talent. In 2006 and 2007 he was featured in ''Down Beat'' magazine, winning their award for "Best Emerging Artist" in the category for Best Trombonist. He started his career with Roberto Ottaviano in 1993. Luca Aquino (born June 1, 1974) is an Italian jazz trumpeter and flugelhornist. Life and career Born in the town of Benevento, in southern Italy, he was mainly self-taught when he began to play the trumpet at the age of nineteen. For two years he abandoned the practice of the instrument to pursue a master's degree in economics. His love for the sound of Miles Davis and Chet Baker brought him back to the study of trumpet. In 2007 Universal Music released ''Sopra Le Nuvole'', his first album as leader. A year later he recorded ''Lunaria'' with guests Roy Hargrove and Maria Pia De Vito. Michele Palazzi (born 27 November 1984) is an Italian photographer and World Press Photo prize winner. Biography Palazzi is an Italian photographer born in Rome. In 2007 he gained a three-year master's degree in Photography at the Scuola Romana di Fotografia. In 2013 he received the First Prize of Environmental Photographer of the Year Award by the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management. Between 2012 and 2013 he started working on Black Gold Hotel a long term project about the modernization impact in Mongolia, which has been awarded with the First Prize in the Daily Life category - Stories of the World Press Photo 2015.
