Cat Cubie
Cat Cubie (born 1981) is a Scottish television weather presenter who deputised when ''Reporting Scotland'' regular meteorologists were on maternity leave. Cubie was born in Scotland to Heather and Andrew Cubie and grew up in Edinburgh, attending George Watson's College before taking a psychology degree at Aberdeen University. Recent work In 2009, Cubie was one of the presenters of the Euromillions slot on BBC 1. Cubie previously presented Movie Specials for Channel 4, The Surgery on BBC Switch and a number of live music shows, including The Next Big Thing and Live and Unsigned. She was also in the MTV Europe final of Pick Me and has been the voice of Living TV and Living 2. Her first broadcast work was as a researcher for the BBC, on programmes such as Little Angels, Teen Angels, Level Up and Beat the Boss. ''BBC Reporting Scotland'' is the BBC's national television news programme for Scotland, broadcast on BBC One Scotland from the headquarters of BBC Scotland at Pacific Quay in Glasgow. BBC Switch was the brand for BBC content aimed at UK teenagers. The brand was launched on Saturday 20 October 2007 on BBC Two and ceased broadcasting on 18 December 2010. It included a block of television programmes on BBC Two, an online portal and programming on the BBC's youth radio station, BBC Radio 1. It was BBC Two's second programming block aimed at teenagers, following on from DEF II. Gail McGrane
Gail McGrane (née Gail Pirie: born 1975) is a television weather forecaster, previously the senior forecaster for BBC Scotland. Born in Dingwall, Ross-shire, McGrane attended Dingwall Academy before moving to Glasgow to attend the University of Strathclyde. She took a job at the Met Office in 1999 and began presenting breakfast weather reports in 2000, before moving to ''Reporting Scotland'' in early 2009. Judith Ralston (née Tonner) is a Scottish weather presenter employed by BBC Scotland, and a former singer. Early life and music career Ralston trained as a musician and studied singing at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow and then the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
