Caswain Mason
Caswain Mason (born 12 February 1978) is a Vincentian former footballer who played as a midfielder. Playing career Mason played in the Toronto and District Soccer League in 2000 with GS United. For the remainder of the 2000 season, he played with the Toronto Olympians of the Canadian Professional Soccer League. In 2001, he played in the USL A-League with the Toronto Lynx. He appeared in 14 matches in his debut season and recorded one goal. After a season in the A-League, he returned to the CPSL to sign with the Metro Lions. He assisted the Scarborough-based team in securing a playoff berth by finishing second in the Eastern Conference. He re-signed with the Metros for the 2003 season. He appeared in the 2003 Open Canada Cup final where the Lions were defeated by London City in a penalty shootout. Mason returned to Toronto in 2004 for his third and final season with the club. 2003 Canadian Professional Soccer League Season
The 2003 Canadian Professional Soccer League season was the sixth season for the Canadian Professional Soccer League. The season began on May 24, 2003 and concluded on October 5, 2003 with the Brampton Hitmen defeating Vaughan Sun Devils 1-0 to capture the CPSL Championship (known as the Rogers CPSL Cup for sponsorship reasons). The victory marked Brampton's first championship title, and the final was played at Cove Road Stadium in London, Ontario. During the regular season the Ottawa Wizards and the Hamilton Thunder won their respective conferences. Ottawa became the second CPSL franchise to go undefeated throughout the regular season. Unfortunately the season was plagued with controversy as the Wizards withdrew from the playoff competition, due to a dispute with the CPSL Executive Committee. 2008 Canadian Soccer League Season
The 2008 Canadian Soccer League season was the 11th since its establishment where a total of 16 teams from Ontario and Quebec took part in the league. The season began on May 16, 2008, and ended on October 26 with the Serbian White Eagles claiming their first championship by defeating Trois-Rivières Attak 2-1 in a penalty shootout. This was the third consecutive year the White Eagles had reached the CSL finals losing respectively to Italia Shooters in 2006, and to rivals Toronto Croatia in 2007. While during the regular season Italia won their second division title with Trois-Rivières becoming the first Quebec team to claim the National Division title. I-League
The I-League (known as Hero I-League for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp) is the second-tier men's professional football competition of the Indian football league system. It is currently contested by 12 clubs across the country with the winners getting promotion to play in the premier division, the Indian Super League. The competition was founded in 2007 as the successor to the National Football League, with the first season starting in November 2007. The league was launched as India's first ever top-tier professional football league with the aim to increase the player pool for the India national team. Hayden Fitzwilliams (born January 31, 1975) is a Trinidadian former footballer who played as a midfielder and forward and played at the international level with the Trinidad and Tobago national football team. Playing career Youth career Fitzwilliams began playing football at the youth level with St Clair Coaching School in his native Trinidad. Hurricane Ivan was a large, long-lived, Cape Verde hurricane that caused widespread damage in the Caribbean and United States. The cyclone was the ninth named storm, the sixth hurricane and the fourth major hurricane of the active 2004 Atlantic hurricane season. Ivan formed in early September, and reached Category 5 strength on the Saffir–Simpson Hurricane Scale (SSHS). Boavista Futebol Clube, commonly known as Boavista (), is a Portuguese sports club from the city of Porto.
