Casto Espinosa Barriga (born 18 June 1982), known simply as Casto, is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Born in Pueblonuevo del Guadiana, Province of Badajoz, Extremadura, Casto spent four years at local Mérida UD (formative spell included), making seven league appearances for the seniors in the Segunda División B. In 2003, he moved to CD Logroñés where he played one season before joining Albacete Balompié of Segunda División, featuring in one match for the first team in 2005–06. Casto signed with Real Betis in the summer of 2006, where he initially began as third-choice behind Pedro Contreras and Toni Doblas. With the arrival of Portuguese international Ricardo in the following campaign, it seemed as though he would be provided with little opportunity to shine, even with Contreras' departure. Casto Innocenzio Ansaldi (7 March 1710, Piacenza, Italy—1780, Turin) was an Italian professor, theologian and archaeologist. Biography In 1726 Ansaldi entered the Dominican Order at Parma, where he pursued his preparatory studies. In 1733 he was a student of the College of St. Thomas in Rome, the future Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas, ''Angelicum'' where he attached himself to Giuseppe Agostino Cardinal Orsi. In 1735 he taught philosophy at Santa Caterina in Naples, and the following year received the chair of metaphysics at the University of Naples. However, in 1737 he was forced to resign after receiving orders from his superiors to move to Bologna. He seems to have disobeyed the order and gone into hiding for some time to avoid the consequences. The King of Naples created a chair of theology for him in 1737, which he retained until 1745. Casto Secundino María Méndez Núñez (July 1, 1824 – August 21, 1869) was a Spanish naval officer. In 1866 during the Chincha Islands War between Spain, Peru and Chile, he was general commander of the Spanish fleet in the Pacific. As such, he bombarded and destroyed the port of Valparaiso, and fought the Battle of Callao (during which he was injured nine times.) Méndez Núñez was the first man to circumnavigate the world on an ironclad warship: ''"Enloricata navis quae primo terram circuivit"''. When Hugh Judson Kilpatrick, the American Minister to Chile, learned that Commodore Méndez Núñez was to bombard the port of Valparaiso, he asked the American naval commander Commodore John Rodgers to attack the Spanish fleet. Manuel Cuni (born 16 September 1983), known professionally as Immanuel Casto, is an Italian singer-songwriter and activist. Since 1 November 2019, Cuni is also the president of the organization Mensa Italia. Biography 1983–2008: Early works Born in Alzano Lombardo, Cuni moved to Bologna in 2002 to work as an art director. Between 2003 and 2004, with the stage name Immanuel, Cuni produced and released the EPs ''On the Road'', ''Voyeur'' and ''Vento di erezioni''. The songs showed an ironic take on sex and pornography, in a dance/electronic style. According to Casto, his work belongs in the porn groove music genre. Martha Curnutt Casto (1812 - 1887) was sentenced to five years in Missouri State Penitentiary, an all-male prison, in 1843 after murdering her brutally abusive husband, Noah Casto, with an ax while he slept in Barry County, Missouri. Her experience in the Penitentiary roused enough support from political figures in the state to petition for her pardon, which was granted in 1844. The incident drew attention to the fact that an all-female prison was necessary. Early life Martha was born about 1812 in Tennessee, the daughter of John Curnutt. On July 6, 1839, she married Noah Casto in Cole County, Missouri. Noah was from Pennsylvania and had been married at least twice before. Martha and Noah had two children together, a daughter named Mary and a son Noah, born about 1840 and 1842 respectively.
