Carved Records
Carved Records is an American record label operating out of Dallas, Texas, that began operation in 2009. History Carved Records was founded by CEO Tim Porter (after a career in many non-music business ventures) and Vice President of Operations Phil Thomas (a music industry veteran with over 20 years in the music business). Since forming in 2009, the label has released six albums and one compilation album. In 2012, Carved Records secured a new distribution deal with EMI, and deals with The Orchard and Cargo for worldwide distribution. Artists , Carved Records have two significant bands on the label. ; Texas Hippie Coalition The band Texas Hippie Coalition (THC) was brought to the label’s attention early because of their own self-generated success. Texas Hippie Coalition (sometimes stylized THC) is an American heavy metal band from Denison, Texas. History The band was formed in Denison, Texas by Big Dad Ritch, along with his friend John Exall and other friends. Several lineup changes occurred before, ''Rollin'', with producer Dave Prater. ''Rollin'' arrived on July 6, 2010, which was their first national release. In early 2012 the group began working with producer Bob Marlette. Their first single " Turn It Up" was released in June of that same year. ''Peacemaker'' was released on August 14, 2012, and was ranked 20 on '' Billboard'' Hard Rock Albums. In February 2014, it was announced that '' Ride On'', the fourth studio album from the quartet is expected to be released October 7, 2014. Tyler Bryant
Tyler Dow Bryant (born February 24, 1991) is an American guitarist from Paris, Texas. He is best known as the lead guitarist and vocalist of the rock band Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown. Early and personal life Tyler got his first guitar at the age of 6. When he was 11, he sold the dirtbike his parents had given to him for Christmas and bought his first electric guitar, a red Epiphone Les Paul from Hollybond's Music Store in Paris, Texas. While still in elementary school, he met Roosevelt Twitty, a blues musician who became Bryant's guitar teacher and mentor. At 13, Bryant and Twitty started playing shows around Texas. This was the age that Tyler also started writing songs. At 15, Tyler put together his first band, which performed local shows in and around his hometown.
