Cartoon Network (Europe)
Since the inception of Cartoon Network and its sister networks, Warner Bros. Discovery has set up international feeds of the networks. Cartoon Network Background Cartoon Network Europe, a pan-European English feed, was launched in 1993. Spanish, Swedish, Danish, French, Italian, and Norwegian audio tracks were added in 1994. The network's Dutch feed was launched in 1997. Another feed launched in 1998, which aired in France, Italy and Spain. The pan-European feed kept airing in the other parts of Europe. The network's Italian feed became independent a few months later after the launch of the French channel, while the Spanish and French feeds were split in 1999. A Polish feed launched a year earlier, in 1998. On September 17, 1993, some Russian cities began receiving Cartoon Network Europe through broadcasts from the Astra satellite. Cartoon Network (often abbreviated as CN) is an American cable television channel owned by Warner Bros. Discovery. It is a part of The Cartoon Network, Inc., a division that also has the broadcasting and production activities of Boomerang, Cartoonito, Adult Swim, and Toonami under its purview. Founded by Ted Turner (who appointed Betty Cohen as the first president of the network), the channel was launched on October 1, 1992, and primarily broadcasts animated television series, mostly children's programming, ranging from action to animated comedy. It currently runs from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. ET/ PT on weekdays and 6 a.m. - 9 p.m. ET/PT on weekends. Cartoon Network (Polish TV Channel)
Cartoon Network is a Polish pay television channel aimed at children, which launched in 1998 as a localised feed of the U.S. television network of the same name. The channel is owned by TVN Group, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery. History Cartoon Network Poland was launched on 1 June 1998 replacing Cartoon Network Europe. On 30 September 2002, the channel began airing in Hungary and Romania, thus sharing its video feed with those countries while adding two additional audio tracks in Hungarian and Romanian. On 1 March 2007, Cartoon Network Poland started broadcasting 24 hours a day.
