Camelot (horse)
Camelot (foaled 15 March 2009) is a British-bred, Irish-trained thoroughbred racehorse. He was one of the leading European two-year-olds of 2011 and won the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster. On his three-year-old debut in 2012, Camelot won the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket and followed up by winning the Derby at Epsom and the Irish Derby at the Curragh. His bid for the Triple Crown failed narrowly when he finished runner-up in the St Leger. Background Camelot is a dark-coated bay horse with an interrupted white stripe, bred by Sheikh Abdulla Bin Isa Al-Khalifa. The colt was reared at the Highclere Stud near Newbury in Berkshire, where his "paddock playmate" was a foal who went on to be named Bonfire. Lammtarra
Lammtarra (2 February 1992 7 July 2014) was an American-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. He was undefeated in his career and won three Group One races in 1995, in which year he was voted the Cartier Three-Year-Old European Champion Colt. The colt won The Derby in record time, the King and Queen Elizabeth Stakes and the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. He is one of only two horses to win all three races. Breeding The colt was owned by Saeed bin Maktoum al Maktoum, whose father, Sheikh Maktoum, bred Lammtarra at his Gainsborough Farm in Versailles, Kentucky. He was sired by Nijinsky by Northern Dancer out of The Oaks winner, Snow Bride by Blushing Groom (FR). He was inbred to Northern Dancer in the second and fourth generations (2m x 4f). King's Theatre (1 May 1991 – 13 June 2011) was an Irish-bred Thoroughbred racehorse and sire (horse), sire. He was trained in the United Kingdom and the United States during a racing career which lasted from July 1993 to June 1996, winning five of his seventeen races. He is best known for winning the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes in 1994, a year in which he was named Cartier Champion Three-year-old Colt, European Champion Three-year old colt. Commander in Chief (1990–2007) was a British thoroughbred racehorse and sire. In a career that lasted just over three months in the spring and summer of 1993 he won five of his six races, most notably the Derby at Epsom and the Irish Derby at the Curragh. He was the first Derby winner since Morston in 1973 not to have raced as a two-year-old. Furthermore, the Racing Post had not even included him in their list of horses for the 1993 Ten-to-Follow on the flat competition. Rodrigo de Triano (foaled 27 May 1989 – 5 August 2014) was an English Thoroughbred Champion racehorse. Background Foaled in Kentucky, and bred and raced by leading British horseman, Robert Sangster, he was out of the mare Hot Princess and sired by El Gran Senor, a sire of fifty-five stakes race winners. John Hammond (racehorse Trainer)
John E. Hammond (born June 27, 1960 in Bromley, Kent, England) is retired a Thoroughbred horse trainer in France. Based in Chantilly, Oise throughout his training career, which began in 1987, Hammond trained numerous Group One winners including Montjeu and Suave Dancer, both of whom won the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, France's most prestigious horse race. Hammond's horses also won important races in Ireland, Great Britain and the United States. Hammond also trained useful European and latterly American-based sprinter, Nuclear Debate.
