Carrozzeria Colli
The Milanese coachbuilder Carrozzeria Colli was established by Giuseppe Colli in 1931 and included his four sons, Mario, Candido, Beniamino and Tarcisio. The company was specialized in using aluminium its works. The first automobiles it made were racing cars using Fiat 1100 mechanicals and chassis, also Fiat 500, Lancia Astura and Aprilia were used as basis. During the World War II the company worked for airforces and after the war made car bodies. After the war they made couple of Alfa Romeo 6C 2500SS, (Fiat 6C 1500cc) Lancia Aprilia based cars and for the 1947 Villa d'Este a Fiat 500 barchetta. Arzani-Volpini (also known as Scuderia Volpini) was an Italian Formula One constructor, established by Gian Paolo Volpini and engine-builder Egidio Arzani. Volpini was initially involved in the lower classes of Formula racing, such as Formula Junior and Formula Three. Volpini joined forces with Arzani in 1954, hoping to enter the Formula One World Championship. To this end, the team purchased the chassis of the 1950 Scuderia Milano-Maserati for the 1955 Formula One season. The team subsequently improved the engine and the bodywork of the car. The body was constructed by Carrozzeria Colli. It was entered in the 1955 Valentino Grand Prix for Mario Alborghetti, but it could not be constructed in time. The Alfa Romeo 1900 C52 "Disco Volante", commonly known simply as Alfa Romeo Disco Volante (Italian for "Flying Saucer"), is a series of experimental sports racing cars produced between 1952 and 1953 by Italian car manufacturer Alfa Romeo in collaboration with Milanese coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring. Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este () is a Concours d'Elegance event in Italy for classic and vintage cars. It takes place annually near the Villa d'Este hotel in Cernobbio, on the western shore of Lake Como in northern Italy. Since 2011, the event has taken place in the second half of May. BMW Group has organised the event, jointly with the Villa d'Este hotel, for the last ten years. Visitors can admire about fifty cars, all built between the 1920s and the 1970s, organized in different categories.
