Caroline Tran
Caroline Tran (born c. 1971) is an Australian radio announcer on the national youth broadcaster Triple J. She moved to Melbourne, Australia, from Vietnam with her family when she was three. As an adult, she worked several other jobs before getting involved with radio broadcasting at the Australian Film Television and Radio School. She landed the position of ''SuperRequest'' host at Triple J in 1999. After two years she switched to the weekday lunch timeslot in 2001, and as of 2003 she switched to the weekend breakfast slot. Tran is closely involved with Triple J's Australian music area. She has performed spot live broadcasts (typically on a mobile phone from live show) for the Australian music show ''Home and Hosed'', and has also been a relief host for the show. Triple J (stylised in all lowercase) is a government-funded, national Australian Radio in Australia, radio station intended to appeal to listeners of alternative music, which began broadcasting in January 1975. The station also places a greater emphasis on broadcasting music of Australia, Australian content compared to commercial stations. Triple J is a division of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Australian Film Television And Radio School
The Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) formerly Australian Film and Television School, is Australia's national screen arts and broadcast school. The school is a Commonwealth Government statutory authority. History Established in 1972 as the Australian Film and Television School, as part of the Commonwealth Government's strategy to promote the development of Australia's cultural activity, AFTRS was opened to students in 1973, with the first intake of 12 students including directors Gillian Armstrong, Phillip Noyce and Chris Noonan. Robbie Buck
Robert Buck known as Robbie Buck is an Australian radio announcer. Career Robbie's radio experience began in his home town of Lismore where he took up a late night shift on the local radio station. Once he moved to Sydney he began doing graveyard shifts on community station 2SER, and eventually became a full-time employee for the station. Following this, he spent time at SBS radio and TV as a sound producer. During his time at SBS, he co-hosted ''Alchemy'' which was a late night TV program focused on the electronic music scene. In 2003, he took on the role of a new show at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Triple J, ''Home and Hosed'', the successor to Richard Kingsmill's ''Australian Music Show''.
