''Carnival Sunshine'' (formerly ''Carnival Destiny'') is a cruise ship operated by Carnival Cruise Line. She debuted in 1996 as the first passenger ship ever built to exceed 100,000 gross tons, and became the first to break the record the '' Queen Elizabeth'' set in 1940 as the world's largest passenger vessel, holding it until 1998, . Built by Fincantieri at its Monfalcone shipyard in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, northern Italy, she was christened as ''Carnival Destiny'' in Venice, Italy, in November 1996 by Lin Arison, the wife of Carnival Cruise Line founder Ted Arison. Carnival Ecstasy
''Carnival Ecstasy'' (formerly ''Ecstasy'') was a operated by Carnival Cruise Line. Built by Kværner Masa-Yards at its Helsinki New Shipyard in Helsinki, Finland, she was Float-out, floated out on January 6, 1991, and christened by television hostess, entertainer and long time Carnival spokesperson Kathie Lee Gifford. Her inaugural voyage began on April 2, 1991. During 2007, in common with all of her ''Fantasy''-class sisters, she had the prefix ''Carnival'' added to her name. With the departure of the ''Carnival Fantasy '' as of 2020, the ''Carnival Ecstasy'' became the oldest ship in the fleet. It was soon after announced by Carnival Cruise Line that the Ecstasy would leave the fleet, with her final passenger voyage on Oct 10, 2022. She will be replaced by the Carnival Spirit out of Mobile Alabama sometime in Oct 2023. ''Carnival Radiance'' (formerly ''Carnival Victory'') is a operated by Carnival Cruise Line. She became the last of the three ''Destiny''-class ships to undergo a refit and rename. The ship's refit was completed in October 2021, and she resumed service on 13 December. Construction ''Carnival Victory '' was built by Fincantieri at its Monfalcone shipyard in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, northern Italy. ''Carnival Victory'' was launched on 31 December 1998 and later christened by Mary Frank, wife of Howard Frank, the then vice-chairman of Carnival Cruise Line.
