Carmen Lamela
Carmen Lamela Díaz (born 1961) is a Spanish judge. Lamela serves as examining magistrate at the Third Court of the Audiencia Nacional (Spain), National Court of Spain. Her area of expertise is criminal law. Career Previous experience In 1984 Lamela graduated and received a law degree from Comillas Pontifical University (ICADE), and in 1986 she began working as a judge in Orihuela's trial court. In 1987 she was transferred to the trial court of Manzanares, Ciudad Real. One of the first cases she handled was the one involving the death of Mikel Lopetegui. Between 1989 y 1990 she was assigned to the trial court number 3 of Badalona. In 1990 Lamela was appointed magistrate for the Audiencias Provinciales of Spain, Audiencia Provincial of Barcelona. In 1993 she moved to Madrid to work as magistrate at the trial court number 25. Spanish Supreme Court
The Supreme Court ('', TS'') is the highest court in the Kingdom of Spain. Pablo Ruz
Pablo Rafael Ruz Gutiérrez (born Madrid, 1975) is a Spanish judge. He is best known for his part in investigating the Gurtel corruption scandal (previously handled by Baltasar Garzón and Antonio Pedreira) and the related Barcenas affair, but has handled other prominent cases. He was educated at Comillas Pontifical University. In 2008, while still in his 20s, he was appointed to Spain's central criminal court, the ''Audiencia Nacional'', on a temporary basis. He was re-appointed in 2010, filling the vacancy left by Baltasar Garzón. Although the appointment was again on an interim basis, he served there until 2015, when he took up a position in Móstoles. Civil Guard (Spain)
The Civil Guard ( es, Guardia Civil, link=no; ) is the oldest law enforcement agency in Spain and is one of two national police forces. Altsasu Incident (2016)
The Altsasu incident is a judicial case against eight young people from Altsasu, a small town in Navarre, Spain, for their involvement in a fight taking place on 15 October 2016 at a bar in which two off-duty Civil Guard officers stationed in the town and their girlfriends sustained injuries. One of the officers was knocked down, with the other victims reported to have suffered "psychological trauma". The lawsuit was initially conducted by the judge of the Spanish special court Audiencia Nacional Carmen Lamela. As of March 2018, Concepción Espejel was appointed as magistrate ahead of the trial held in late April. 2017 Catalan Independence Referendum
An independence referendum was held on 1 October 2017 in the Autonomous communities of Spain, Spanish autonomous community of Catalonia, passed by the Parliament of Catalonia as the Law on the Referendum on Self-determination of Catalonia and called by the Generalitat de Catalunya. Alexandre "Sandro" Rosell Feliu (; born 6 March 1964) is a Spanish businessman. He earned an MBA degree from ESADE.
