Carlos Eduardo Miranda (March 21, 1962 – March 22, 2018), also known simply as Miranda or by his initials CEM, was a Brazilian songwriter, musician, record producer, and television Music competition, music and talent competition Adjudicator, judge. Biography Carlos Eduardo Miranda was born in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul on March 21, 1962. He began his musical career in 1981 as a keyboardist for hard rock/Heavy metal music, heavy metal band Taranatiriça, and was, concomitantly, a member of the short-lived New wave music, new wave project Urubu Rei. In 1984 he founded the Punk rock, punk/comedy rock band Atahualpa y us Panquis, of which he was its guitarist. After it broke up in 1993, shortly after releasing a single studio album, Miranda moved to São Paulo, where he began writing music reviews for music magazine ''Bizz''. Graforreia Xilarmônica is a Brazilian Prêmio Açorianos-winning rock group from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. Famous for their humorous, unpretentious lyrics and for their sonority influenced by 1960s-era bands, the ''Jovem Guarda'' movement and traditional ''gaúcho'' music, they amassed a strong cult following throughout the 1980s and 1990s which lasts to the present day. The Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão (; SBT ; "Brazilian Television System") is a Brazilian television network founded on Wednesday, 19 August 1981, by the businessman and television personality Silvio Santos. The company was established after a public tender by the Brazilian Federal Government to form two new networks, created from revoked concessions of the defunct Tupi and Excelsior networks. (English: ''What's Your Talent?''), often shortened to ''QST?'', was a Brazilian reality television series on the SBT, a modern version of Show de Calouros created by Silvio Santos in the 1970s. Móveis Coloniais de Acaju (usually referred to as simply Móveis; ) are a Brazilian-based band comprising ten members, including singer André Gonzáles, keyboardist Eduardo Borém, and bassist Fabio Pedroza. The band's name literally translated means "colonial mahogany wood-made furniture". The Acaju Rebellion According to Fabrício Ofuji, the name of the band is an homage to a fictitious rebellion that supposedly happened when English troops invaded Bananal Island, in the Northern Region of Brazil. CSS (an initialism of Cansei de Ser Sexy) (, in São Paulo, English lit. "Tired of being sexy") is a Brazilian rock band from São Paulo. The band was labeled as part of the explosion of the new rave scene. Their songs are in both English and Portuguese.
