Ídolos (Brazilian TV Series)
''Ídolos'' was a Brazilian reality television competition to find new solo singing talent. Part of the ''Idol'' franchise, it was created by Simon Fuller as a spin-off from the British show ''Pop Idol'', of which two series were broadcast between 2001 and 2003. The show aims to discover the best singer in the country through a series of nationwide auditions in which viewer voting determines the winner. Through telephone, internet and SMS text voting, the viewers chose past winners Leandro Lopes, Thaeme Mariôto, Rafael Barreto, Saulo Roston, Israel Lucero, Henrique Lemes, Everton Silva and Raphael Leandro The eligible age-range for contestants is currently 15–30 years old. 720p (1280×720 px; also called HD ready, standard HD or just HD) is a progressive HDTV signal format with 720 horizontal lines/1280 columns and an aspect ratio (AR) of 16:9, normally known as widescreen HDTV (1.78:1). All major HDTV broadcasting standards (such as SMPTE 292M) include a 720p format, which has a resolution of 1280×720; however, there are other formats, including HDV Playback and AVCHD for camcorders, that use 720p images with the standard HDTV resolution. ''Got Talent'' is a British talent show TV format conceived and owned by Simon Cowell's SYCOtv company. It has spawned spin-offs in over 69 countries, in what is now referred to as the 'Got Talent' format, similar to that described by Fremantle of the ''Idol'' and ''The X Factor'' formats. Unlike those shows, ''Got Talent'' (influenced by the variety of talent shows '' Opportunity Knocks'' and ''New Faces'') showcase other artistic disciplines in addition to singing. Prime time or the peak time is the block of broadcast programming taking place during the middle of the evening for a television show. It is mostly targeted towards adults (and sometimes families). Eduardo Smith de Vasconcellos Suplicy (born 2 April 1966), known as Supla, is a Brazilian musician. Biography Supla was born 2 April 1966 in the city of São Paulo.
