Scott N. Howell (born September 28, 1953) is an American politician from Utah. He was the Democratic nominee for the United States Senate from Utah in the 2000 and 2012 elections. Early life and education Howell was born in Provo, Utah. He grew up in Salt Lake City. He attended Dixie State College in Southern Utah on a football scholarship and graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.
