Carla Cordua (born 25 December 1925) is a Chilean philosopher. Life Cordua was born in Los Ángeles, Chile on Christmas Day, 1925. She entered the University of Chile in 1948 and studied under Bogumil Jasinowski and Oscar Marín. In 2006 she received the Jorge Millas Award for academic merit from the Austral University of Chile. Los Ángeles () is the capital of the province of Bío Bío, in the commune of the same name, in Bío Bío, in the center-south of Chile. It is located between the Laja and Biobío rivers. The National Prize for Humanities and Social Sciences ( es, Premio Nacional de Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales) was created in Chile in 1992 under Law 19169. } Oscar Marín Parra FMedSci FRS (born 31 March 1971) is a Spanish and British neuroscientist. He is married to neuroscientist Beatriz Rico. Education Oscar Marín was born in Madrid and received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and later his PhD in neuroscience. Roberto Torretti (February 15, 1930 - November 12, 2022) was a Chilean philosopher, author and academic who is internationally renowned for his contributions to the history of philosophy, philosophy of physics and philosophy of mathematics. Biography Torretti received a doctorate from the University of Freiburg under the supervision of Wilhelm Szilasi in 1954. Shortly after he began lecturing in philosophy and psychology at the Institute of Education of the University of Chile in Valparaíso.
