Carina Vogt
Carina Vogt (born 5 February 1992) is a German former ski jumper. Career She won the first Olympic gold medal ever awarded for women's ski jumping, at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games. Vogt's international debut was in the Meinerzhagen competition. She participated in the FIS Ski Jumping Continental Cup from 2006 to 2012. Vogt's debut in the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup took place in January 2012 in Hinterzarten. She achieved her first World Cup victory on 18 January 2015 in Zaō, Japan. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme, she won the bronze medal in the mixed normal hill competition together with Ulrike Gräßler, Richard Freitag, and Severin Freund. Schwäbisch Gmünd
Schwäbisch Gmünd (, until 1934: Gmünd; Swabian: ''Gmẽẽd'' or ''Gmend'') is a city in the eastern part of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 took place between 20 February and 3 March 2013 in Val di Fiemme, Italy, for the third time, the event having been hosted there previously in 1991 and 2003. Host selection The 2013 championships had a submission deadline of 1 May 2007 to the International Ski Federation (FIS). Falun
Falun () is a city and the seat of Falun Municipality in Dalarna County, Sweden, with 37,291 inhabitants in 2010. It is also the capital of Dalarna County. Falun forms, together with Borlänge, a metropolitan area with just over 100,000 inhabitants. Falun was originally famous for its copper mine, and is today an important service and industrial city even though the mine is closed (since 1992). Faluån is a river, flowing through the city, separating it into two sides. Falu copper mine is located on one of the sides which during many centuries was one of Sweden's main business. This side of the river was usually called "the mining side", where not many plants grew due to the toxic smoke which contaminated the soil. Severin Freund (born 11 May 1988) is a German former ski jumper and current TV expert. He competed at World Cup level from 2008 to 2022, and is one of the most successful ski jumpers from Germany, having won the overall World Cup title in 2015, and scoring 22 individual World Cup wins. As a member of the German national team, Freund won a gold medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics and later became the 2015 World Champion on both the large hill and mixed team competitions. Richard "Richi" Freitag (; born 14 August 1991) is a German former ski jumper who competed at World Cup level from 2010 to 2022. Career His FIS Ski Jumping World Cup debut took place on 29 December 2009 at the Four Hills Tournament in Oberstdorf, having previously gained success in the Continental Cup. On 3 January 2010, he succeeded in Innsbruck with a 30th place-his first World Cup point. At the FIS Ski-Flying World Championships 2010 in Planica he reached the 28th place in the individual event. Hinterzarten is a resort village in the Black Forest (German: ''Schwarzwald''), located in the southwest of the state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The FIS Ski Jumping World Cup is the world's highest level of ski jumping and the FIS Ski Flying World Cup as the subdivisional part of the competition. It was founded by Torbjørn Yggeseth for the 1979/80 season and organized by the International Ski Federation. Women began competing during the 2011/12 season.
