The Capital Region Junior Hockey League (CRJHL) is a junior B ice hockey league in the province of Manitoba, Canada. The league, sanctioned by Hockey Manitoba, began play for 2018–19 season. Baldy Northcott Trophy
The Baldy Northcott Trophy or ''Manitoba Provincial Junior B Hockey Championship'' is a Canadian ice hockey series to determine the Manitoba representative at the Keystone Cup - the Western Canada Junior "B" hockey championship. History First awarded by Hockey Manitoba in 1940, the Baldy Northcott Trophy is named after the former professional player Baldy Northcott. He coached the Winnipeg Rangers for one season capturing the 1941 Memorial Cup. Northcott is a member of the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame. The Lundar Falcons are a junior "B" ice hockey team based in Lundar, Manitoba. Home games are played at Lundar Arena. History Lundar Falcons were formed for the 2010–11 season as a member of the Keystone Junior Hockey League, where they competed until 2018. The Selkirk Fishermen are a junior "B" ice hockey team based in Selkirk, Manitoba. They are members of the Capital Region Junior Hockey League (CRJHL). The franchise was founded in 1917. They are the longest running junior hockey team in Canada. The Fishermen won the Abbott Cup in 1920, making them the Junior Champion for Western Canada and earning a playoff against the George Richardson Memorial Trophy winning Eastern Champion for the Memorial Cup. The North Winnipeg Satelites are a junior "B" ice hockey team based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They are members of the Capital Region Junior Hockey League (CRJHL). History Founded in 1980, the North Winnipeg Satelites found much success early on winning the league title five times (1983, 1985, 1986, 1988, 1989) in the 80s. Beausejour () is a town in the Provinces and territories of Canada, Canadian province of Manitoba. It is 46 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg, just west of the Canadian Shield and Whiteshell Provincial Park. The French language, French name means "beautiful stay". The Keystone Cup is the Junior B ice hockey championship and trophy for Western Canada. From 1983 to 2017, the championship was the culmination of the champions of 12 hockey leagues in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northwestern Ontario. In 2018, citing costs for travel and accommodations, British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan withdrew from competition for the Keystone Cup, making it a championship between Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario.
