Capital FC
Capital FC is an American soccer team based in Salem, Oregon, United States. Although founded in 2008 as part of the development system for the Portland Timbers USSF D2 organization, beginning in 2011 they were part of the development system for the Major League Soccer franchise of the same name until 2022. The team plays in USL League Two, the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. The Men's team is known as Capital Futbol Club Atletico. The Women's team, who plays in the USL W League, is known as Capital Futbol Club Atletica. History The Timbers joined the PDL in 2009, and played their first ever game on May 9, 2009, against fellow expansion franchise Victoria Highlanders finishing 2–2, with the first goal in franchise history being scored by Jarad Van Schaik assisted by Matt Van Houten. Graham Dugoni
Graham Andrew Dugoni (born November 24, 1986) is an American entrepreneur and former professional soccer player who is the founder of Yondr, a company that pioneered the concept of phone-free spaces with its sealed pouches. Early life and career Dugoni was born in Portland, Oregon. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Duke University in 2009. He worked at a ranch in Wyoming during the summer, where he got a foot injury that kept him from playing soccer for a while. Warren Ukah
Warren Ukah (born March 22, 1985 in Atlanta) is an American soccer player. Career Ukah attended Grady High School before turning professional at the age of eighteen, in 2003 with Village United in the Jamaica National Premier League. Following the 2003–2004 Jamaican season. At nineteen, he returned to the US to play the summer season with the Wilmington Hammerheads of the USL Pro Soccer League. He went back to Village United for the 2004–2005 season then came back north in 2005 to play for the Virginia Beach Mariners in the USL Second Division. In 2006, twenty-one-year-old Ukah signed with the Atlanta Silverbacks of the USL First Division. He spent three seasons with the Silverbacks and lead them to the league championship in 2007, but lost much of the 2008 season with injuries. Ross Smith (born November 4, 1980) is a former Canadian soccer player and current broadcaster for the Portland Timbers, one of his former teams. Smith last played for Conference National side Ebbsfleet United. Career Youth and college Smith attended E.C. Drury High School in Milton, Ontario, and played college soccer at the University of Rhode Island. Thomas Ryan (born April 23, 1987 in Salem, Oregon) is an American soccer player. Career Youth and College Ryan played two years of college soccer at Linfield College in his native Oregon, before transferring to Azusa Pacific University as a junior in 2007, the same year Azusa Pacific University won the NAIA National Championship. Brent Richards
Brent Anthony Richards (born May 20, 1990) is an American soccer player who currently plays for Orange County SC in the USL Championship. Career High school Richards played for Camas High School of Camas, WA all four years of his high school career. His most notable year was his fourth and final year, where he led the team to a victory in the WIAA 3A state championship game, alongside future University of Washington teammate Quinton Beasley. College and amateur Richards was one of the Pac-10/Pac-12's top scorers during his collegiate career at the University of Washington. Andrew Ribeiro (born October 22, 1990) is an American soccer player who plays for National Independent Soccer Association club Chicago House AC. Prep career In high school, Ribeiro played four years of varsity soccer at Green Bay's Notre Dame Academy. Jason McLaughlin (born April 14, 1982 in Provo, Utah) is an American soccer player who last played for Portland Timbers U23s in the USL Premier Development League. Career College and amateur McLaughlin grew up in Wetumpka, Alabama, and attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham, playing on the men's soccer team from 2000 to 2005, scoring 15 goals and assisted on 13 others during his career. Daniel Leach
Daniel Leach (born 5 January 1986) is an Australian former footballer who last played for Football League Two club Barnet as a defender. Career He attended St. Joseph's Nudgee College in Virginia, Queensland, and played state football for Queensland. He moved on to the Queensland Academy of Sport Football Program, and also played for Brisbane Strikers. Mutanda Kwesele
Mutanda Kwesele (born March 14, 1986 in Mufulira) is a Zambian footballer. Career Youth and college Kwesele moved from his native Zambia to the United States with his family as a child, settling in Seattle, Washington. He attended Seattle Preparatory School, where he was a two-time All-Metro and All-District selection, and began his college soccer at Santa Clara University. He transferred to Seattle University prior to his sophomore season in 2006, and played three seasons with the Redhawks, helping the team reach the NCAA tournament in back-to-back seasons in 2006 and 2007. Erik Hurtado
Erik Hurtado (born November 15, 1990) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for Major League Soccer club Columbus Crew. Club career Born in Fredericksburg, Virginia, Hurtado moved with his mother to her hometown of Gresham, Oregon when he was six. He began playing club soccer in nearby Beaverton before moving with his family to Cuernavaca in Mexico. Miguel Guante (born August 24, 1984 in Augusta, Georgia) is an American soccer player of Puerto Rican heritage. Career College and Amateur Guante played college soccer at the University of Portland, and played for the Boulder Rapids Reserves in the USL Premier Development League in 2004 and 2005. Professional Guante was drafted in the first round (8th overall) of the 2006 MLS Supplemental Draft by FC Dallas. Dallas waived him in April 2007 and Miami FC of the USL First Division signed him.
