Cape Cod Mall
Cape Cod Mall is a shopping mall in the Hyannis village of Barnstable, Massachusetts. The mall opened in 1970 and was renovated and expanded in the late 1990s, bringing the property to of gross leasable area. It is currently managed and partially owned by Simon Property Group. The anchor stores are Marshalls, Best Buy, 2 Macy's stores, Regal Cinemas, Target, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Barnes & Noble. History Opening and expansion The Cape Cod Mall was proposed in the late 1960s as a super-regional retail center for Barnstable County, due in part to rapid population growth. Before the mall was built, a Storyland theme park resided in its location. Hyannis, Massachusetts
Hyannis is the largest of the seven villages in the town of Barnstable, Massachusetts, in the United States. It is the commercial and transportation hub of Cape Cod and was designated an urban area at the 1990 census. Because of this, many refer to Hyannis as the "Capital of the Cape". The Northshore Mall is a shopping mall in Peabody, Massachusetts. As of 2022, the mall currently features Macy's in two locations, J. C. Penney, and Nordstrom. The mall is near the Route 128 and Route 114 junction, and less than a mile from the Simon-owned Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers. North Attleborough, alternatively spelled North Attleboro, is a town in Bristol County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 30,834 at the 2020 United States Census. Emerald Square is a shopping mall in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. The mall is anchored by JCPenney and Macy's, and features staples such as H&M, Forever 21, and Hollister. Lord & Taylor was the oldest brick and mortar department store in the United States, in business from 1826 to 2020.
