Canton Of Forges-les-Eaux
The Canton of Forges-les-Eaux is a former canton situated in the Seine-Maritime département and in the Haute-Normandie region of northern France. It was disbanded following the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. It consisted of 21 communes, which joined the canton of Gournay-en-Bray in 2015. It had a total of 10,991 inhabitants (2012).Populations légales 2012: 76 Seine-Maritime

Forges-les-Eaux
Forges-les-Eaux () is a commune in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region in northern France. On 1 January 2016, the former commune of Le Fossé was merged into Forges-les-Eaux. Geography A farming and spa town, with considerable light industry, situated by the banks of the rivers Andelle and Epte, in the Pays de Bray, some southeast of Dieppe, at the junction of the D 915, D 921, D1314 and D 919 roads. History Known as "De Forgis" in 1186, the first part of the name, Forges, is derived from the fact that it was an important centre for the mining and manufacturing of iron in Roman times. The second part of its name comes from the therapeutic use of the thermal waters from the sixteenth century onwards. A seigneur from Forges took part in the Battle of Hastings and another took part in the First Crusade. Serqueux, Seine-Maritime
Serqueux () is a commune in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region in northern France. Geography A village situated at the source of the Epte river in the Pays de Bray, some southeast of Dieppe at the junction of the D 1314, D 13 and D 83 roads. The Serqueux station is an important interchange station for TER regional trains, with connections to Rouen, Amiens, Lille and Gisors. Serqueux has an important plant producing most of the gum arabic in the world. The commune has also an important commercial zone which is by far the biggest in the canton. History First mentioned as "Sarkeus" in the twelfth century, the name derives from the Greek , owing to the large Merovingian necropolis in the commune. Much of the village including the church, was destroyed by Allied bombing during World War II. Nevertheless, the railway station, which was the goal of the bombings, remained untouched.
