Cansel Deniz (born 26 August 1991) is a Kazakh taekwondo practitioner. Career She represented Kazakhstan at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, in the women's −67 kg and at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, in the women's + 67 kg. At the 2018 Asian Games, she clinched a silver medal in the women's +67 kg event losing to South Korean Lee Da-bin. Cansel Özkan (born 2003) is a Turkish weightlifter competing in the 59 kg. Personal life Cansel Özkan was born in 2003. She has a one-year older sister Aysel. The sisters grew up in the Children's Home Coordination Center ( tr, Çocuk Evi Koordinasyon Merkezi, ÇEKOM) in Niğde. After their father's death in 2009, the girls moved to Gaziantep following the mother. One year later, they returned to Niğde due to family problems. They were placed in the ÇEKOM again. Sport career Özkan started weightlifting together with her sister. She participated at the 2019 Youth World Weightlifting Championships in Las Vegas, United States, where she won the gold medal in the 55 kg snatch event. Feriha "Feri" Cansel (7 July 1944 – 2 September 1983) was a Turkish Cypriot actress. She was born in Lefkoşa (Nicosia), Cyprus and spent her early youth in the United Kingdom, acquiring British citizenship and she became a hairdresser in London. Once settled in Turkey, she also obtained Turkish citizenship, marrying for convenience the janitor of the block of apartments in İstanbul where she lived concluding for that purpose.
