Canada Women's National Gymnastics Team
The Canada women's national artistic gymnastics team represents Canada in FIG international competitions. History Canada has participated in the Olympic Games women's team competition 10 times, finishing as high as fifth place. The team has also made 25 appearances at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, winning their first team medal, a bronze, in 2022. Gymnastics Canada
Gymnastics Canada is the national governing body for the sport of gymnastics in Canada and has its current headquarters in Ottawa, Ontario. It is responsible for the organization and promotion of gymnastics on a nationwide basis. In 1956, a Canadian delegation attended its first world-level International Gymnastics Federation FIG (Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique) competition in Melbourne with only one male gymnast, Ed Gagnier, and one female gymnast, Ernestine Russell. This marked the beginning of Canada's participation in international competitions, signalling an important step towards development of their national team program. LaSalle, Quebec
LaSalle () is the most southerly borough (''arrondissement'') of the city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is located in the south-west portion of the Island of Montreal, along the Saint Lawrence River. Prior to 2002, it was a separate municipality that had been incorporated in 1912. Shallon Jade Olsen (born 10 July 2000) is a Canadian artistic gymnast. She is the 2018 World silver medalist and 2018 Commonwealth Games champion on vault. She is also the 2018 Commonwealth Games floor exercise bronze medalist and the 2019 Pan American Games vault bronze medalist. She was a member of the Canadian team that won the gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the silver medal at the 2019 Pan American Games.
