Campeonato Alagoano
The Campeonato Alagoano is the football league of the state of Alagoas, Brazil. Format 2020 First Division The Campeonato Alagoano is divided into three stages. *First stage: simple round-robin, in which all eight teams play each other once. The four best-placed teams go to the Semifinals. *Semifinals: home-and-away playoff with the top 4 teams of the first stage (1st place x 4th place, 2nd place x 3rd place), with the two winners going to the Finals. *Finals: home-and-away playoff between the two qualified teams. The winner is declared the Campeonato Alagoano champion. The last-placed team in the first stage is relegated to the second division. Jaciobá Atlético Clube is a Brazilian professional football club based in Pão de Açúcar, Alagoas. It competes in the Campeonato Alagoano, the top flight of the Alagoas state football league. History Founded in 1964, the club first reached the first division of the Campeonato Alagoano in 1999, after finishing second in the previous year's second division. After finishing seventh and being relegated, the club went into amateur state and changed name to Jacyobá Atlético Clube. In June 2018, the club was again active when it submitted its registration to play in the season's second division. Jacyobá then won the 2018 second division on the goal difference rule, returning to the top tier after 20 years. Clube Sportivo Capelense was a Brazilian football club based in Capela, Alagoas. The team last participated in the Campeonato Alagoano Segunda Divisão in the 2011 season. They competed in the Copa do Brasil once and twice in the Taça Brasil. History The club was founded on 19 May 1945. They won the Campeonato Alagoano in 1959, 1962 and in 1989. The club participated in the Taça Brasil in 1960, when they were defeated in the Northeastern Final to Bahia, and competed again in 1963.
