Camerata Bariloche
The Camerata Bariloche is a chamber music ensemble from Argentina, founded in 1967. The ensemble has achieved international recognition for excellence. Origins The Camerata was formed by musician Alberto Lysy, who organized the Camping Musical Bariloche Chamber Music Festival in Buenos Aires which is attended by both local and foreign musicians. A number of musicians traveled to Bariloche to serve as teachers during development of the music camp, and by 1967 Lysy had organized a series of tests with these musicians in the Bariloche Foundation's headquarters in a house called Soria Moria. The Camerata Bariloche performed its first concert at the Library Sarmiento de Bariloche on September 17, 1967. Florentine Camerata
The Florentine Camerata, also known as the Camerata de' Bardi, were a group of humanists, musicians, poets and intellectuals in late Renaissance Florence who gathered under the patronage of Count Giovanni de' Bardi to discuss and guide trends in the arts, especially music and drama. They met at the house of Giovanni de' Bardi, and their gatherings had the reputation of having all the most famous men of Florence as frequent guests. After first meeting in 1573, the activity of the Camerata reached its height between 1577 and 1582. While propounding a revival of the Greek dramatic style, the Camerata's musical experiments led to the development of the '' stile recitativo''. In this way it facilitated the composition of dramatic music and the development of opera. Camerata (Crinoidea)
The Camerata or camerate crinoids are an extinct subclass of Paleozoic stalked crinoids. They were some of the earliest crinoids to originate during the Early Ordovician, reached their maximum diversity during the Mississippian, and became extinct during the Permian–Triassic extinction event. Camerates are the sister group of Pentacrinoidea, which contains all other crinoids (including living species). The two largest camerate subgroups are the orders Diplobathrida and Monobathrida. Giuseppe Camerata
Giuseppe Camerata (1718–1803) was an Italian miniaturist painter and engraver. Biography He was born at Frascati or at Venice, the son of G. Camerata, a painter of some reputation, and studied under Gregorio Lazzarini. He learned the technique of engraving from Giovanni Cattini, and after visiting Vienna in 1742, was in 1751 invited to assist in engraving the plates for the Dresden Gallery, and was there made principal engraver to the Court. He visited Italy again in later life, and subsequently came to Munich, where he settled for a time in 1763. He afterwards became professor in the Academy at Dresden, where he died.
