Camerata Bariloche
The Camerata Bariloche is a chamber music ensemble from Argentina, founded in 1967. The ensemble has achieved international recognition for excellence. Origins The Camerata was formed by musician Alberto Lysy, who organized the Camping Musical Bariloche Chamber Music Festival in Buenos Aires which is attended by both local and foreign musicians. A number of musicians traveled to Bariloche to serve as teachers during development of the music camp, and by 1967 Lysy had organized a series of tests with these musicians in the Bariloche Foundation's headquarters in a house called Soria Moria. The Camerata Bariloche performed its first concert at the Library Sarmiento de Bariloche on September 17, 1967. Ástor Piazzolla
Astor Pantaleón Piazzolla (, ; March 11, 1921 – July 4, 1992) was an Argentine tango composer, bandoneon player, and arranger. His works revolutionized the traditional tango into a new style termed ''nuevo tango'', incorporating elements from jazz and classical music. A virtuoso bandoneonist, he regularly performed his own compositions with a variety of ensembles. In 1992, American music critic Stephen Holden described Piazzolla as "the world's foremost composer of Tango music". Jaime Torres (musician)
Jaime Torres (21 September 1938 – 24 December 2018) was an Argentine musician, son of Bolivian immigrants and a world-renowned interpreter of charango. He was disciple of Mauro Núñez, a Bolivian musician and luthier that built his first musical instruments. Mstislav Rostropovich
Mstislav Leopoldovich Rostropovich, (27 March 192727 April 2007) was a Russian cellist and conductor. He is considered by many to be the greatest cellist of the 20th century. Karl Richter (15 October 1926 – 15 February 1981) was a German conductor, choirmaster, organist and harpsichordist. Early life and education Karl Richter was born in Plauen to Christian Johannes Richter, a Protestant pastor, and Clara Hedwig Richter. He studied first in Dresden, where he was a member of the Dresdner Kreuzchor and later in Leipzig, where he received his degree in 1949. Oscar Milani
oscR miLanI (born November 24, 1946 in Rosario, Argentina), is an Argentine musician. A Bariloche Foundation scholarship holder, he went to Buenos Aires to specialize; harpsichord, chamber music, and interpretation on early keyboard instruments. His activities as a soloist and chamber musician with the Camerata Bariloche took him to several countries of South America and also to Europe. He has made recordings for the ORF and Picks Records.
