Cam Burke (born April 30, 1987) is a Canadian amateur golfer. Burke was born in Kitchener, Ontario. He attended Eastern Michigan University. He won the 2008 and 2009 Canadian Amateur Championship. Burke played on the Web.com Tour in 2014 after earning his tour card through qualifying school but had little success and failed to retain his card. Harold Varner III
Harold Varner III (born August 15, 1990) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour. He won the Australian PGA Championship in December 2016 and the PIF Saudi International in February 2022. Amateur career Varner was born in Akron, Ohio, but raised in Gastonia, North Carolina where he played golf at Forestview High School. He played his collegiate golf at East Carolina University and was the first player in school history to be named Conference USA player of the year. He also competed in the 2010 U.S. Amateur at Chambers Bay in University Place, Washington. Professional career Varner turned professional in 2012, missing the cut at the Chiquita Classic. 2010 Eisenhower Trophy
The 2010 Eisenhower Trophy took place 28–31 October at the Buenos Aires Golf Club and the Olivos Golf Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was the 27th World Amateur Team Championship for the Eisenhower Trophy and the second to be held in Argentina. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 69 three-man teams. The best two scores for each round counted towards the team total. Each team was due to play two rounds on the two courses. Weather delays on the second day meant that the second round was not completed until the third day and the event was reduced to 54 holes. The leading 36 teams played their third round at Buenos Aires Golf Club while the others played at Olivos Golf Club. France won their first Eisenhower Trophy, four strokes ahead of Denmark, who took the silver medal. The United States took the bronze medal while New Zealand finished fourth. Joachim B. Eisenhower Trophy
The Eisenhower Trophy (World Men's Amateur Team Championships) is the biennial World Amateur Team Championship for men organized by the International Golf Federation. Since the tournament was first played in 1958, it is named after Dwight D. Eisenhower, the President of the United States at the time, who was a keen amateur golfer. The equivalent competition for women is the Espirito Santo Trophy. Results The 1958 championship resulted in a tie. There was an 18-hole playoff which Australia won with a score of 222 to the United States 224. From 1958 to 2000 the teams had four players with the best three scores counting for each round. From 2002 the teams have been three players with two counting. The 2004, 2010 and 2012 championships were reduced to 54 holes because of bad weather. 2013 EGolf Professional Tour
The eGolf Professional Tour, formerly the Tarheel Tour, was a third-level men's professional golf tour based in Charlotte, North Carolina with about twenty tournaments conducted annually in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia. The Tarheel Tour was founded in 2002 by Paul Wortham and David Siegel. It was purchased by Five Oaks Capital in August 2008 and renamed the eGolf Professional Tour the following year. In August 2015, the eGolf Tour was bought by Golf Interact and was integrated into the Swing Thought Tour. New Hamburg is a community of approximately 11,953 (2011 stats) in the township of Wilmot, Ontario, Canada. It is in the far western part of the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, near the regional border with Perth County. The United States Amateur Championship, commonly known as the U.S. Amateur, is the leading annual golf tournament in the United States for amateur golfers. It is organized by the United States Golf Association and is currently held each August over a 7-day period. In 1894 there were two tournaments called the "National Amateur Championship".
