Caloocan's 3rd Congressional District
Caloocan's 3rd congressional district is one of the three congressional districts of the Philippines in the city of Caloocan. It has been represented in the House of Representatives of the Philippines since 2022. The district consists of eleven barangays in the northeastern portion of Caloocan: Barangays 178 to 188 in Zones 15 and 16. It is currently represented in the 19th Congress by Dean Asistio, who ran under PDP–Laban in the 2022 general election but took his oath as member of Lakas–CMD before the opening of the said legislative term. Barangays that composed the third district were previously part of the first district since its creation in 1987 until 2021 when Republic Act No. 11545 was signed into law. The third district encompasses the northeasternmost barangays of the city. Dean Asistio was proclaimed as its first representative and currently serves as its district representative. Congressional districts of the Philippines ( fil, distritong pangkapulungan) refers to the electoral districts or constituencies in which the country is divided for the purpose of electing 253 of the 316 members of the House of Representatives (with the other 63 being elected through a system of party-list proportional representation). The legislative districts of Caloocan are the representations of the highly urbanized city of Caloocan in the various national legislatures of the Philippines. The city is currently represented in the lower house of the Congress of the Philippines through its first, second, and third congressional districts. History Caloocan was initially represented as part of the at-large district of the province of Manila in the Malolos Congress from 1898 to 1899. Enrico Echiverri
Enrico "Recom" Reantillo Echiverri (born November 18, 1954) is a Filipino lawyer and politician. He previously served as a member of the Philippine House of Representatives representing the Caloocan's 1st district and Mayor of Caloocan. Education Echiverri spent his grade school years at Morning Breeze Elementary School in Caloocan. He finished his secondary studies at the Gregorio Araneta University Foundation High School in Malabon in 1971. He took up AB Economics at San Beda University. Upon graduation, he studied at the Ateneo de Manila University and finished his degree in Bachelor of Laws in 1981. Caloocan's 1st Congressional District
Caloocan's 1st congressional district, also known as North Caloocan district, is one of the three congressional districts of the Philippines in the city of Caloocan. It has been represented in the House of Representatives of the Philippines since 1987. The district consists mostly of the North Caloocan barangays north of EDSA and Circumferential Road 4: Barangays 1 to 4 of Zone 1, Barangays 77 to 85 in Zones 7 and 8, and Barangays 132 to 177 in Zones 12 to 15 bordering the Metro Manila cities of Malabon, Quezon City (Novaliches and Lagro area), and Valenzuela as well as the Bulacan city of San Jose del Monte.
