Calgary Heritage
Calgary Heritage is a federal electoral district in Alberta, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 2015. Calgary Heritage was created by the 2012 federal electoral boundaries redistribution and was legally defined in the 2013 representation order. It came into effect upon the calling of the 2015 Canadian federal election, which was held that 19 October. It is essentially a reconfigured version of Calgary Southwest, the former riding of Stephen Harper, who served as the Prime Minister of Canada from 2006 to 2015. Territory from the former Calgary Southwest comprises 99% of the new riding, while territory from Calgary Southeast makes up 1%. While Calgary as a whole has long been considered heartland for the Conservative Party of Canada and its antecedents, Calgary Heritage is located in a particularly conservative area of Calgary. Canadian Federal Electoral Redistribution, 2012
The federal electoral redistribution of 2012 was a redistribution of electoral districts ("ridings") in Canada following the results of the 2011 Canadian census. As a result of amendments to the Constitution Act, 1867, the number of seats in the House of Commons of Canada increased from 308 to 338. The previous electoral redistribution was in 2003. Background and previous attempts at reform Prior to 2012, the redistribution rules for increasing the number of seats in the House of Commons of Canada was governed by section 51 of the ''Constitution Act, 1867'', as last amended in 1985. Lakeview, Calgary
Lakeview is a residential community in the southwestern quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Nestled between Glenmore Trail Sw and Crowchild Trail SW to 37th Street SW, the western city limits at this point. The Tsuu T'ina Nation Indian reserve borders it to the west. Residences south of 66th Avenue are part of a smaller development named ''Lakeview Village'', which features larger, more expensive homes. Haysboro is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by Heritage Drive to the north, Macleod Trail to the east, 98th Avenue (an alley north of Southland Drive) to the south and 14 Street W and the Glenmore Reservoir to the west. It is bisected by Elbow Drive. The land comprising Haysboro was annexed by the City of Calgary in 1956 and the community was established in 1958. Evergreen, which includes Evergreen Estates, is a suburban residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located south of the Fish Creek Provincial Park, and southeast from the Tsuu T'ina first nation reserve. There are two sections of Evergreen, the older and more established ''Evergreen Estates'', and the newer ''Evergreen'' to the south. The two sections have separate community associations and street naming patterns.
